UN-STUFFED CABBAGE BOWLS
Quick and easy stuffed cabbage - without all the work!

Steps:
- Press the saute button on the Instant Pot. Spray with oil then add the beef and salt, cook breaking the meat up until browned, about 5 minutes. Add the onion, garlic, marjoram and black pepper and stir. Add the tomato sauce, paprika, beef broth and raisins, cover and cook high pressure 15 minutes.
- Quick release, add the rice and cabbage and cook 3 minutes high pressure. Quick release and serve with additional rice if desired.
- Heat a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat, spray with oil then add the beef and salt, cook breaking the meat up until browned, about 5 minutes. Add the onion, garlic, marjoram and black pepper and stir. Add the tomato sauce, 1/4 cup water, paprika, beef broth and raisins, cover and cook medium-low 25 minutes.
- Add the cooked rice and cabbage and cook 8 to 10 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender. Serve with additional rice if desired.

MY UNSTUFFED CABBAGE
I think once upon a time I followed a recipe but I can't find one that matches what's in my head anywhere. My 14yo (THE PICKY ONE) says this is her FAVORITE dish. THAT is the biggest compliment of all. :) This recipe served the 4 of us, including 2nd helpings, with not a lot left over.

Steps:
- Heat oil in 4qt. Dutch oven. Add onion & sausage; cook until meat is cooked, breaking it up into small bits.
- Add rice, tomatoes & chicken broth. Stir well to combine & simmer 15 minutes.
- Add raisins, brown sugar, vinegar, salt & pepper. Stir well.
- Add cabbage & stir well to combine. Cover pot & simmer on low 10-15 minutes or until rice is tender and cabbage is tender-crisp.
- Stir again & serve. Enjoy!

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Place chopped cabbage in bottom of 8x8 inch baking dish that has been sprayed with cooking spray.
- Brown meat and onions together and drain off all fat.
- Stir in rice and salt and pepper.
- Place meat and rice mixture over cabbage in baking dish.
- Mix soup and water together and pour over meat and cabbage mixture.
- Cover pan with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour.
- Uncover pan for the last 10 minutes.
- Can double recipe and bake in 13x9 pan, bake uncover for 1 hour 30 minutes, uncover for last 10 minutes.

- Place ⅓ of cabbage in the bottom of a Dutch oven or large pot.
- In a bowl combine the meat, rice, onion, and pepper. Form the mixture into small meatballs and place ½ of the meatballs on top of the cabbage.
- Cover with ⅓ of cabbage, then place the rest of the meatballs over the cabbage. Cover with the remaining cabbage.
- Pour the brown sugar, tomato purée, vinegar and stock over the top of the layered cabbage and meatballs and bring the mixture to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for ½ hour or until the meat is cooked through and the cabbage is tender.
- Serve warm.

UNSTUFFED STUFFED CABBAGE
Stuffed cabbage without all the hard work of stuffing cabbage leaves. I am Polish and make stuffed cabbage all the time. But it is too time-consuming. So I decided to put all the ingredients in a pot and cook and whaddaya know. It worked!

- Put everything in a Dutch oven and bring to a boil. Lower heat to low and cover. Cook 2-3 hours until the cabbage is soft and tender.
- Check while cooking as you may have to add more water or garlic powder.
- Serve with Polish rye bread and butter.
- Note: For those on sodium-restricted diets, you can make this with salt-free tomato sauce and reduced sodium tomato soup. Comes out great.

- Place cabbage in a deep 12-inch heavy skillet with broth, 1 garlic clove (sliced), and a rounded 1/4 teaspoon salt. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, then cook, covered, turning cabbage occasionally, until very tender, about 45 minutes. (Add more broth or water if necessary.)
- Meanwhile, cook onion and remaining garlic in oil in a heavy medium pot over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until golden, about 8 minutes. Increase heat to medium-high and stir in ground meats along with 1/2 teaspoon each of salt and pepper. Cook, stirring and breaking up lumps with a wooden spoon, until no longer pink, about 3 minutes.
