MINT LEMONADE SLUSHIE (LIMONANA)

Number Of Ingredients 5

Ingredients

1 cup Water
1/3 cup Granulated Sugar
1/2 cup Fresh Lemon Juice ((From about 3 large lemons))
1/4 cup Mint (Leaves (no stems))
3 cups Crushed Ice

Steps:

In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup water with granulated sugar. Heat until sugar just dissolves. Pour simple syrup into heat safe container, and refrigerate until chilled.
In you blender, add lemon juice, mint, chilled simple syrup, and 3 cups crushed ice. Blend well until mint is very fine, and ice is slushy.
Serve immediately.

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice (from about 9 lemons)
3 cups loosely packed mint leaves (from about 20 stems)
1 cup granulated sugar
4 cups still water
Ice cubes

Steps:

In a blender, combine the lemon juice, mint, sugar, and 1/2 cup of the water and blend until fully liquid. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve, reserving the liquid and discarding the solids. In a pitcher, stir together the mint mixture and the remaining 3 1/2 cups water. Serve over ice cubes.
