Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
- Prick the sweet potatoes all over with a fork, put them in a roasting pan and roast for 30 minutes. Toss the bananas into the pan and continue roasting for 10 to 15 minutes, until both the bananas and potatoes are very soft. Remove the pan from the oven but don't turn the oven off.
- When the potatoes are cool enough to handle, scoop out the flesh into a large mixing bowl. Peel the bananas and add them to the bowl along with 1 stick of the butter, and the honey. Season with salt and beat vigorously with a wooden spoon until everything's well combined and the mixture is fluffy. Spoon into an oven-proof serving bowl and smooth the top.
- In a separate mixing bowl, use your fingers to rub together the remaining stick of butter, the brown sugar, flour, and pecans until the mixture is the consistency of coarse crumbs. Sprinkle the crumb mixture over the sweet potatoes and return to the oven. Cook for about 20 minutes, until the crumbs are golden. Serve hot.

Steps:
- Wash sweet potatoes and roast in a in a 375°F preheated oven for 75-90 minutes, or until soft and starting to release some juice.
- Add bananas during the last 15 minutes of cooking.
- While the potatoes are cooking melt the 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet and toast the pecans over a medium heat, tossing often.
- All the butter will be absorbed and the nuts will be slightly fragrant.
- Add a bit of salt and toss again.
- After roasting let the potatoes cool enough to just handle them, peel and mash with bananas, melted butter, granulated sugar and honey.
- Season to taste and add more sugar if desired (it will depend on your taste and how sweet the veggies are to begin with) In a small bowl mix the 2 tablespoons of cold butter into the brown sugar with your fingers, it'll be lumpy, but that's OK.
- Spread the mashed mixture in a buttered baking dish, cover with pecans and sprinkle with brown sugar/butter combination. Bake at 350°F for 20-30 minutes until the topping is partially melted.

BANANA MASHED POTATOES
Sounds strange, right? Actually, they're delicious! The subtle hint of banana doesn't really add sweetness, only an exotic taste. You must try this! This makes about four normal-people servings, or two hungry people servings.

Steps:
- Peel potatoes. Place in a large pot of salted cold water. Bring to a boil.
- Boil 25 minutes, or until tender. They should provide no resistance when poked with a fork.
- During the last five minutes of boiling, peel your banana. Take a bite (a whole banana is a little overwhelming, but a banana with a big bite taken out does just right). Drop the rest of the banana in the water with the potatoes and let it boil with them for the last five minutes. This softens it.
- Drain the potatoes and banana and place in a large bowl.
- Add the butter and a little half and half and cream with a hand mixer. Add half and half as needed to get a creamy texture.
- Add salt and pepper to taste. These are great with lots of fresh cracked black pepper.
- Enjoy!

6 EASY-TO-DIGEST FOODS FOR WHEN YOU HAVE STOMACH ISSUES
From insider.com

- Mashed sweet potatoes. Mashed sweet potatoes contain fiber, which can be hard to digest, but much of it is soluble fiber. Soluble fiber is easy to digest because it dissolves in water — meaning it becomes mushy and easier for your intestines to break down.
- Ripe bananas. Bananas are a good option — just make sure they are ripe, ideally with some brown spots. As a banana ripens, the starches break down into simple sugars, which are easier to digest.
- Chicken breast. Plain, skinless chicken breast is usually the best protein option when you're sticking to foods that are easy to digest, Dennett says.
- Hard-boiled eggs. Eggs are another good source of protein that can be digested easily — so long as they aren't cooked in a fatty substance like oil or butter.
- Chicken broth. Liquids are easier to digest because your intestines don't need to work hard to break them down. "If you want something hot and soothing, chicken broth can be nice," Dennett says.
- Canned vegetables. Canned vegetables can be a good option during a digestive flare-up, as they have many of the same nutrients as fresh vegetables, but are easier to digest, Dennett says.
