Steps:
- Mix first 5 ingredients and bake at 350 in 4 round cake pans.
- (I just used 2 cake pans twice. Who has four cake pans?) Bake according to cake mix directions.
- Mix frosting ingredients together and add 4 grated Hershey bars with almonds and ½ cup pecans.
- Ice between layers, top and sides.

- CAKE: Mix all cake ingredients together and bake at 350°F in 3x9-inch pans greased & floured for 30 to 35 minutes. Grate 5 Hershey candy bars in small bowl. Grate or shave the other bar and set aside for garnishing. You can cut back on the bars if desired by not using as many in the frosting. Beat powdered sugar, sugar and cream cheese. Fold in grated candy bars and chopped nuts. Then fold in cool whip. Let cake layers cool before assembling. Put 1 layer frosting on the plate you are going to serve it on. You can be generous with the frosting between each layer. Then lay another layer on top of the first layer. Put the last layer on top. Proceed on to frost the top and sides. Sprinkle the candy bar on top. Refrigerate.

- CAKE: Do not use ingredients the box calls for... instead, mix together the cake mix, buttermilk, eggs, sugar, oil and vanilla. Now follow box directions as far as beating the batter & cooking time. Cool layers well before you frost the cake.
- FROSTING: Cream together the cream cheese and powdered sugar, using electric mixer, until smooth. Fold in the cool whip and hershey bar pieces. Frost between cooled layers, top and sides. Keep refrigerated.
- NOTE: I usually bake three 8" cake layers, although you can make three 9" layers. Great Tip: Another member, Barbara Pendley, suggested using chocolate shavings or curls on top. PHOTO: Here is a pic of MaAnn and I. We have been friends since high school. She's the blonde.

Steps:
- Heat the oven to 350°F
- Grease and flour two 13- by 9-inch baking pans. Set aside.
- Combine the water and raisins in a saucepan, heat to boiling and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add the shortening, then allow the mixture to cool.
- Meanwhile, into a bowl, sift the sugar, soda, flour, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and salt.
- Add the cooled raisin mixture, then blend well.
- Add the eggs and stir well.
- Turn into the prepared pans and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the cakes test done.
- Let cool completely on wire racks.
- If desired, ice with Buttercream Frosting.

- Cake: Spray a little Pam in 3 (8-inch) round baking pans. Mix all ingredients together and pour in pans.
- Bake at 325 degrees until done. (I use a tooth pick to check.) I allow cakes to cool some and then, with my hand spread over each cake tip over just to loosen cake from pan. Start preparing frosting.
- Frosting: Mix cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Then add other ingredients mix well. Then frost cake between layers and all over. Grate Hershey Bar and sprinkle over cake

Steps:
- Combine chocolate bar pieces, butter or margarine and boiling water in medium mixing bowl.
- Stir until chocolate is melted.
- Combine flour, brown sugar, baking soda and salt in large mixer bowl.
- Ggradually add chocolate mixture, beating until thoroughly blended.
- Blend in eggs, sour cream and vanilla and beat 1 minute on medium speed.
- Pour into greased and floured 13 x 9-inch pan.
- Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean.

MOM'S HERSHEY'S BAR CAKE
My mom baked this delicious cake for many years..that is, until I got old enough to want to "do it by myself" in the kitchen. Come to think of it, I don't think she's made one since. lol...just leaves it for me to do when we all get together. It takes a little time and is a little expensive to make but the result is well worth it! You're gonna love this one!

- Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- Grease and flour a tube pan.
- Melt Hershey bars.
- Dissolve soda in buttermilk. Set aside.
- Cream sugar and margarine. Add to melted candy. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Add the 2 1/2 cups sifted flour alternately with the buttermilk/soda mixture.
- Add vanilla. Add nuts. Pour into floured pan.
- Use a toothpick to check for doneness.

QUEEN ANNE'S LACE CAKE
This cake is very good! My whole family gets together for dinner at our parent's house every Sunday and I always bring a dessert. This is my sister and brother-in-law's favorite! I got the recipe out of a cookbook I bought on QVC. "Best of the Best from QVC Cookbook". This recipe was submitted by Vivian C. Ferguson. The recipe calls for the chocolate to be shaved , but that's too much work for me. I just grind up the chocolate in my food processor.

- For cake, blend all ingredients with a mixer and pour into three 9-inch cake pans that have been well greased and floured. Cook at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
- For filling, pour the Hershey bars from the food processor into a small bowl and set aside. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugars. Blend until it's not quite so grainy, for about 2-3 minutes. Fold the Cool Whip into the cream cheese mixture.
