This is a good licorice candy... this recipe makes a lot of candy. It is much better than the cheap ones you buy at the store or movie theater. It is easy and tastes wonderful... Enjoy! Play With Your Food! xo
1. In a heavy pan, mix together all ingredients (EXCEPT: the food coloring and flavoring). Cook stirring constantly until it reaches 235 degrees (Firm Ball Stage).
2. Add the food coloring and flavoring. Stir for 1 minute.
3. Pour into 1 or 2 rectangular cake pans (depending on how thick you want to make the candy). Cool. Cut into desired size cubes. Wrap in wax paper or plastic wrap.
4. *** Just put a light dusting of powdere sugar in the pans. *** You can sprinkle a little powdered sugar on the cooled finished product to make less sticky for wrapping in wax paper.
