2 large eggs
3/4 cup 2% milk
1 cup dry bread crumbs
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
2 teaspoons salt
2 pounds ground beef
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon butter
3/4 cup ketchup
1/2 cup honey
3 tablespoons soy sauce

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine eggs and milk. Add the bread crumbs, onion and salt. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Shape into 1-in. balls. Place on greased racks in shallow baking pans. Bake, uncovered, at 400° for 12-15 minutes or until meat is no longer pink., Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, saute garlic in butter until tender. Stir in the ketchup, honey and soy sauce. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Drain meatballs; add to sauce. Carefully stir to evenly coat. Cook for 5-10 minutes.

¼ cup brown sugar
¼ cup honey
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons chile-garlic sauce
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
1 (2 pound) bag frozen cooked meatballs

Steps:

  • Combine ketchup, brown sugar, honey, garlic, chile-garlic sauce, soy sauce, and five-spice powder together in a bowl. Let sauce stand at room temperature for 1 hour.
  • Add frozen meatballs to a slow cooker. Pour sauce over meatballs and toss gently to coat.
  • Cook on Low for for 4 hours, stirring occasionally.

2 eggs
3/4 c buttermilk
1 c bread crumbs, dry
1/2 c sweet onion, finely chopped
2 tsp kosher salt
2 lb ground beef
4 clove garlic, minced (i usually add more)
1 Tbsp butter
3/4 c ketchup
3/4 c honey
4 Tbsp soy sauce

Steps:

  • 1. In a large bowl, combine eggs and buttermilk. Add the bread crumbs, onion and salt.
  • 2. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Shape into 1-inch balls.
  • 3. Place on greased wire racks over a shallow baking pans to catch the drippings.
  • 4. Bake, uncovered at 400 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes or until meat is no longer pink.
  • 5. Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, saute garlic in butter until tender. Stir in the ketchup, honey and soy sauce. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • 6. Drain meatballs and add to the sauce. Carefully stir to evenly coat the balls.
  • 7. Cook for 5 to 10 more minutes. Place on a serving platter with green garnishes, and festive toothpicks.

These Easy Honey Garlic Meatballs are coated in a sweet honey glaze with a punch of garlic. Perfect as a holiday appetizer or serve a a meal over rice.

1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
1/2 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons brown sugar
4 cloves garlic (minced)
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Cornstarch
40 small meatballs (cooked)
1 green onion (sliced, for garnish)
Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Steps:

  • Add honey, soy sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, garlic, ginger and red pepper flakes to a large pan over medium-low heat. Gently whisk ingredients together until smooth. Heat through until small bubble start to form around the edge. You want a simmer, not a boil; about 2-3 minutes.
  • Pour about 2 tablespoons of cornstarch into a bowl and add 2 tablespoons of the simmering mixture. Whisk to combine until smooth. Whisk the cornstarch mixture into the saucepan. Continue to whisk until completely incorporated.
  • Cook over medium-low heat for several minutes or until thickened. Add the cooked meatballs to the sauce and toss to coat. Continue to stir over medium-low heat until meatballs are heated through and completely coated with the sauce.
  • As an appetizer, serve immediately, or transfer to a slow cooker to keep warm. Or serve as a main dish with rice or pasta. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving if desired.
  • Store in a tightly sealed container for several days in the refrigerator.
  • *Slow Cooker version: Add frozen (or cooked) meatballs to the slow cooker. Whisk remaining ingredients (except cornstarch) in a bowl and pour over the meatballs. Cook on low for about 3 hours. To thicken, add 2 tablespoons of the sauce from the slow cooker to a small bowl and whisk in 2 tablespoons of cornstarch until completely smooth. Pour into the slow cooker and stir to combine. Cover and cook on low for an additional 30 minutes to thicken.

1 1/2 cups honey garlic sauce (can use storebought or below recipe)
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 cup orange juice
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 cup water
1/2 cup brown sugar
4 tablespoons honey
4 tablespoons molasses
6 garlic cloves, crushed

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F Line a baking sheet with foil and spray with non-stick spray. Combine all the ingredients for the meat mixture. Wet your hands lightly, and shape into small meatballs. Arrange them on the baking sheet, and bake for 20 minutes, until firm.
  • For the honey garlic sauce, combine all ingredients and mix well.
  • Heat the honey garlic sauce in a large pot. Dissolve the cornstarch in the orange juice, and stir into the simmering sauce. Add the red pepper flakes and sesame oil. When the sauce is thickened, add the meatballs. Simmer partly covered for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Makes about 5 dozen meatballs (depending upon the size you make them).

1/4 cup dry breadcrumbs
2 teaspoons soy sauce
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

1 lb lean ground beef
1 cup beef stock
4 garlic cloves, minced
4 teaspoons honey
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour (Mix with a little of the beef stock prior to adding to the sauce)
1 dash hot pepper sauce

Steps:

  • In a bowl, whisk together the egg, onion, red pepper, bread crumbs, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce and pepper, then mix in the beef.
  • Roll by rounded tablespoonfuls into balls and place on a greased rimmed baking sheet.
