- Score hotdogs in corkscrew fashion and lightly brown in butter.
- Stir in next 7 ingredients; cover and simmer 10 minutes. Add green pepper; cover and simmer 5 more minutes.

SAUCY HOT DOGS
Another great recipe I dug out of a family cookbook... This is a great twist on hot dogs and was always a staple at my and my sister's birthday parties... Our friends would always say, "Saucy Dogs? Ewww! What's that?!" Then we couldn't get them to stop eating them!!! Definately a kid pleaser!!! Enjoy!!!

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Combine all ingredients except buns.
- Spoon mixture evenly into buns.
- Wrap individually in foil.
- Warm in oven 10-15 minutes.
- Let cool for 5 minutes, unwrap, and enjoy!

Steps:
- In a 3-quart saucepan, stir preserves and barbecue sauce. Diagonally cut hot dogs into 3/4-inch pieces, add to saucepan. Stirring over medium heat, bring to a boil and simmer until meat pieces are plumped. Remove from heat.
- In a small bowl, stir water into cornstarch until smooth. Stir into hot mixture. Return to heat and boil for 1 to 2 minutes or until thickened.
- Transfer to a serving dish. Serve hot with toothpicks.
