NEW ORLEANS-STYLE BARBECUED SHRIMP

Steps:
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil, shallot and garlic. Cook, stirring often with a wooden spoon, until the shallots are soft and fragrant, about 2 minutes. Add the lemon slices and cook until they begin to brown, about 1 minute longer, then stir in the shrimp, paprika, thyme, black pepper and salt. Add the Worcestershire sauce and 3 tablespoons water and bring the liquid to a simmer.
- Cook, stirring often, until the shrimp are beginning to turn pink, about 2 minutes. Add the butter cubes and swirl the pan to combine. Allow the sauce to simmer until the shrimp are pink and just opaque all the way through, another 3 to 4 minutes. Serve with lots of napkins and some crusty bread for sopping up the sauce.
SHRIMP IMONELLI - LOW CARB & LOW FAT
This is a reduction on calories and carbs for this superb recipe - it is challenging to find one that fits both mine and my husbands needs, however, this I believe fits the bill quite nicely! For it to be low carb, serve over grilled or baked portabello mushrooms. To keep low fat as is, serve over pasta. Bon Appetito!

- Place olive oil in skillet on medium heat, add shrimp and saute for 4 minutes.
- Add salt, garlic, oregano, pepper, nutmeg, and white wine.
- Bring to a boil for a minute, remove from heat.
- Serve over pasta or grilled portabello mushroom.

- Combine first 11 ingredients in a large nonstick skillet AND bring to a boil.
- Add shrimp AND cook 7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add wine, cook another minute or two until the shrimp are done.
- Serve with bread and lemon wedges.
OH MY!!! SPAGHETTI SAUCE (LOW FAT)
This is a very tasty spaghetti sauce. I wouldnt substitute anything in this recipe, but then again...experimenting can get you places! ;)
