MATCHA GREEN TEA SMOOTHIE OR ICED LATTE
If you've read a newspaper or watched the news recently you've probably heard about all the health benefits of drinking Green Tea. It has tons of antioxidents and helps boost metabolism and helps you burn more fat and thus lose more weight. I enjoy drinking green tea and occasionally I enjoy a Starbucks Green Tea Frappuccino, or a Jamba Juice Matcha Smoothie Blast. This recipe is one I developed to be able to enjoy these smoothies at home. I think it tastes great and is really good for your health too. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Please note that this recipe does require premium matcha green tea powder. This is not just regular green tea leaves pulverized. This premium powder can be purchased at Japanese grocers, or online. I happen to purchase mine on that popular online auction site I'm sure you're familiar with. I use the "Usucha" (or thin) matcha green tea powder that comes straight from Kyoto, Japan. Feel free to contact me if you need help finding this tea and I can show you where to purchase it directly. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this as much as I do.

THE BEST ICED COFFEE RECIPES - THE SPRUCE EATS
From thespruceeats.com
- Cold Brew Iced Coffee. While pouring old hot coffee over ice cubes may work for some, and others like to brew espresso right over ice for their iced coffee, the best flavor for iced coffee comes from cold-brewing the coffee in the first place and then putting it over ice.
- Thai Iced Coffee. The use of sweetened condensed milk gives Thai iced coffee its unique and, for some, irresistible flavor. It's sweet, creamy, and intensely flavored.
- Homemade Frappuccino. Frappuccinos are popular for a reason: they are insanely delicious. Save money by making frappuccinos at home. Since a frappuccino is simply espresso, milk, and sugar blended with ice, it's pretty easy.
- Greek Frappé. You can't turn around in Greece in the summer without running into a frappé. Cool, creamy, and icy, it's the ultimate way to take in coffee when the days get long and hot.
- German Iced Coffee. Cold coffee, ice cream, and evaporated milk—plus additional sweetener if you're so inclined—make this classic summer treat known as eiskaffee.
- Iced Café Canario. This Spanish favorite can be served hot or iced. Café Canario, also known as café bombón, features espresso, condensed milk, a touch of vanilla extract, and cocoa powder.
- Dehli-Style Iced Coffee. Just cold milk, instant coffee, and plenty of ice come together in this hot-weather classic. This particular version of instant iced coffee is named after Delhi, where it is popular - but similar concoctions are found in hot climates around the world.
- Cold Coffee Jelly. For those times when it's too hot out for hot coffee and you're in too much of a rush to sip anything, that's when having a batch of coffee jelly in the fridge, ready to slurp down, is needed.
- Affogato. Keep glasses and ice cream in the freezer and you can enjoy this delicious Italian affogato whenever you please. It's a quick coffee dessert that's perfect for a dinner party or afternoon treat.
- Coffee Chocolate Protein Shake. Turn your iced coffee into a snack, or even a meal, with this recipe for an iced coffee chocolate protein shake. Strong coffee or espresso, plus milk and chocolate protein powder makes this iced coffee drink a single-cup breakfast.

THAI TEA FRAPPE - A BEAUTIFUL MESS
From abeautifulmess.com

- First, bring your filtered water to a boil. Add your Thai tea mix to a tea sock (or directly to the water if you have a tea strainer), pour your hot water through the sock, and allow the tea to steep for at least 5 minutes. I doubled the strength of the tea, so if you're using a different brand of tea mix, just make sure to double the amount of tea for one cup of water. Be careful not to spill the tea or touch the concentrate or wet tea leaves with your bare hands. It's a really bright orange and will totally stain your hands or clothing if you're not careful!
- While your tea mix is still hot, add your sugar into the tea and stir to dissolve the sugar. Allow the tea to cool and pour the tea into a blender, and add the cream, ice cream, and ice cubes to the blender. If you were thinking ahead, you could also make a batch of tea at regular strength and pour it into ice cube trays for your ice. This would add more intensity to the Thai tea flavor as the drink melts.
- Mix until combined and the ice is broken into very small pieces. Adjust the ingredient amounts if needed and blend just to combine. Pour into a glass and garnish with whipped cream (or some beautiful star anise).
