8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
1/3 cup sour cream
2 cans (6.5 ounces each) whole clams, such as Bar Harbor Premium, drained and coarsely chopped, 3 tablespoons liquid reserved
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons minced shallot
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper, plus more for sprinkling
Coarse salt
Potato chips, for serving

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Stir together cream cheese and sour cream in a medium bowl until smooth. Stir in clams and liquid, Worcestershire, shallot, cayenne, and 1/4 teaspoon salt until combined. Transfer mixture to a 2 1/2-to-3-cup baking dish.
  • Bake until bubbly and top is golden brown in spots, about 30 minutes. Serve warm, sprinkled with cayenne, with potato chips.

6 1/2 ounces minced clams, drained -RESERVING 2 Tbsp of clam juice
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup sour cream
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 tablespoons parsley
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon hot sauce
salt, to taste, if desired

Steps:

  • In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese with 2 Tbsp clam juice, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce. Stir in clams, garlic, parsley and pepper.
  • Serve immediately or chill.
  • Serve with veggies and/or crackers.

This is my family's signature dip recipe and will make everyone a fan of clams in cream cheese whether they think they like it or not!

1 8- ounce package cream cheese (, at room temperature)
1 6.5- ounce can of minced clams (, drained and juice reserved)
2 green onions (, white and green parts, finely chopped)
1/2 lemon (, juiced)
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Tabasco sauce to taste

Steps:

  • In a medium sized bowl, mash softened cream cheese with a fork until soft and creamy. Slowly add in 1 tablespoon of clam juice while mixing with fork and cream well. Add lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Add green onion and clams to mixture. Add a few dashes of Tabasco to taste. If mixture seems thick, add remaining clam juice in one tablespoon increments to desired consistency. Serve with potato chips or refrigerate for up to 2 days.

This is like stuffed clams topped with melted cheese, without the mess of the shells. I almost always double the recipe because it goes so fast. I have shared this recipe many times and I hope you enjoy it as well.

2 can(s) minced clams with juice
1-2 Tbsp lemon juice
1/4 c butter
1/4 c red or green pepper,chopped
1/4-1/2 c onion,chopped
1 clove garlic,chopped
1/2-1 tsp oregano
1 tsp hot sauce
3/4 c seasoned bread crumbs
1 Tbsp chopped parsley(optional)
1 c or more of your favorite cheese(s) shredded (i use parmesan and mozzarella mixed).

Steps:

  • 1. Mix clams and their own juice with lemon juice in saucepan and bring to boil then let gently simmer for 10 minutes. In another pan, saute onions, garlic and pepper in 1/4 cup butter. Add parsley(optional), oregano and hot pepper sauce. When tender, remove from heat and add bread crumbs. Add clam mixture and pour into flat baking dish. Sprinkle with paprika and your cheeses(I tend to over cheese things, I think I use about 2 cups((8oz)) cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until cheese is very melted. Serve hot with crackers.

1 tbsp olive oil
2 6.5-oz cans chopped clams in clam juice ((retain the juice))
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (or shredded)
1/4 tsp hot sauce ((optional))
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp dried parsley
1/4 tsp dried thyme
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
1 cup panko breadcrumbs

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Add olive oil to a skillet and set over medium heat. Add chopped onion and saute for 5-6 minutes, or until the onion is golden.
  • Turn off the heat and add the two cans of clams, including the juice. Add Parmesan, hot sauce, garlic powder, oregano, parsley, thyme, salt, and pepper and stir to combine.
  • Add breadcrumbs and stir as the mixture thickens.

2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, cubed
1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley

6 drops hot pepper sauce
2 round loaves (1 pound each) sourdough bread

  • Drain two cans of clams and discard liquid. Drain remaining can, reserving the liquid. In a food processor, combine the clams, cream cheese, parsley, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, chives, salt, hot pepper sauce and reserved clam juice; cover and process until smooth., Cut the top fourth off one loaf of bread; carefully hollow out loaf, leaving a 1-in. shell. Set removed bread aside. Fill shell with clam mixture; replace top. Wrap tightly in heavy-duty foil; place on a baking sheet. Bake at 350° for 40-45 minutes., Meanwhile, cut reserved bread and the second loaf into cubes. Wrap in heavy-duty foil; place in oven during the last 15 minutes of baking. What's one more clam recipe? If you are at all familiar with me, you know I have a love affair with clams. For several weeks now, I have pondered the thought of creating a clam dip recipe. As I was searching for inspiration, nothing really caught my attention until I came across this recipe from Martha Stewart. So, after a few tweaks of my own, this Creamy Hot Clam Dip recipe is perfection. It's one perfect party appetizer!

2, 6.5 ounce canned clams, minced or chopped (drained with liquid reserved)
3 tablespoons reserved clam liquid
8 ounces whipped cream cheese
1/3 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 small shallot, minced
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons fresh parsley
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 1/2 tablespoons butter, melted
3 to 4 tablespoons panko breadcrumbs
1 teaspoon fresh chopped parsley

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375°.
  • Drain the canned clams, reserving three tablespoons of the liquid.
  • Mix together the whipped cream cheese and sour cream in a bowl.
  • Add in the remaining ingredients for the clam dip. Mix well.
  • Pour into an oven safe dish (see post for serving cold).
  • In a separate bowl, melt the butter for the topping.
  • Add enough panko to absorb the butter.
  • Stir in the parsley.
  • Sprinkle on the breadcrumb mixture.
  • Cover and bake for about 20 minutes, or until the clam dip is bubbly (uncover a few minutes prior to removing from oven to brown the top).
  • Serve immediately with homemade potato chips (or see alternative serving suggestions in post).
