1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
2 pounds ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
Optional: 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and minced
2 cloves garlic (crushed and minced)
1 (4-ounce) can mild chile peppers (chopped)
1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder (mild to medium heat)
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 (8-ounce) cans tomato sauce
1/2 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon oregano
16 ounces cream cheese (cut into cubes)
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (or another type of shredded cheese)

Steps:

  • Heat the olive oil In a heavy skillet over medium heat. Crumble the ground beef into the skillet along with the onion and jalapeño pepper, if using. Cook until the onion is translucent and the beef is no longer pink, stirring frequently. Drain off fat.
  • Transfer the drained browned meat mixture to the crockery insert of the crock pot. Add the garlic, mild chile peppers, chili powder, ground cumin, salt, black pepper, tomato sauce, ketchup, oregano, sugar, cream cheese, and Parmesan cheese (or another type of cheese).
  • Cover the crock pot and cook on low for about 2 hours, or until cream cheese has melted and is thoroughly blended.
  • Stir, taste, and adjust the seasonings, as needed.
  • Serve the dip hot, directly from the crock pot , or move to a chafing dish. Offer tortilla chips, crackers, or vegetables for dipping.

1 onion, diced
1 (1 ounce) package taco seasoning
¼ cup water
1 (2 pound) loaf processed cheese food (such as Velveeta®), cut into cubes

1 tablespoon diced jalapeno peppers

Steps:

  • Cook and stir hamburger and onion together in a skillet over medium heat until the hamburger is completely browned, 7 to 10 minutes.

1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 (6 ounce) package cream cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 can Rotel Tomatoes
3/4 teaspoon dried oregano
6 green onions
1 can olive, sliced (black or green)
1/2-1 cup nuts (of choice)
1 can refried beans

Steps:

  • Fry the burger and sausage together, drain fat.
  • Add this along with the remaining ingredients in a crock pot and stir to mix.
  • Put on high for 30 minutes to melt the cheese, and then cook on low for 1 hour.
  • Serve with tortilla chips.

1 egg
¼ cup bread crumbs
⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper
½ teaspoon seasoned salt

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 cup thinly sliced onion
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 cup beef broth
1 tablespoon cooking sherry
½ teaspoon seasoned salt

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, egg, bread crumbs, pepper, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Form into 8 balls, and flatten into patties.
  • Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry the patties and onion in the oil until patties are nicely browned, about 4 minutes per side. Remove the beef patties to a plate, and keep warm.
  • Sprinkle flour over the onions and drippings in the skillet. Stir in flour with a fork, scraping bits of beef off of the bottom as you stir. Gradually mix in the beef broth and sherry. Season with seasoned salt. Simmer and stir over medium-low heat for about 5 minutes, until the gravy thickens. Turn heat to low, return patties to the gravy, cover, and simmer for another 15 minutes.

1 (8 ounce) package Philadelphia Cream Cheese
4 tablespoons sour cream
1 lb lean ground beef
1 (1 1/4 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
1 (25 ounce) jar salsa
2 green onions, sliced (optional)
grated mozzarella cheese

Steps:

  • Brown lean ground beef over medium high heat.
  • When cooked, add taco seasoning mix.
  • Meanwhile, cream together sour cream and cream cheese.
  • Spread cream cheese mixture in the bottom of a deep dish pie plate.
  • Layer ground beef mixture over the cream cheese mixture.
  • Add the salsa to the top of the ground beef.
