BOURBON HOT DOGS
I got this grownup hot dog recipe from a girl I attend church with. They were always gone in no time at family functions. You need to let them sit for a day or two to take on the flavor, and inexpensive hot dogs are key here.... they make a better product!

BOURBON WIENERS
Great appetizer. Family favorite for many years. Make them in a pan or a slow cooker. You can use uncut small smoky sausages, too.

BOURBON HOT DOGS
These are fantastic. Most times you go to a party and there are hot dogs sitting in some kind of sauce and they are mushy. These are firm and great tasting. Once you make these, you'll taste the difference. They take a little extra time, but they are worth it. Again, the longer you simmer them, the better they get.

Steps:
- 1. Cut hot dogs into bite size pieces. Mix all together in pot. Heat to medium then turn heat down to low and cook for a 10 hours (or 5 hrs today and 5 hrs tomorrow), stirring frequently (sauce with be thick). Taste until they are no longer mushy. The longer you cook these the better they get. Don't worry, the alcohol will cook off.
- 2. They can also be put in a crockpot. Cook on low for 8-9 hours, stirring frequently. Cook until hot dogs are firm.
- 3. Keep warm and serve with toothpicks.
