This bean dip is sooooo good. It is easy to make and is always a hit. I make it for my Super Bowl party each year and it is always gone before half time!! Two cheeses and refried beans are baked with mild spices to create a creamy dip. Serve with tortilla chips.

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 cup sour cream
2 (16 ounce) cans refried beans
½ (1 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
5 drops hot pepper sauce
2 tablespoons dried parsley
¼ cup chopped green onions
1 (8 ounce) package shredded Cheddar cheese
1 (8 ounce) package shredded Monterey Jack cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In a medium bowl, blend the cream cheese and sour cream. Mix in the refried beans, taco seasoning, hot pepper sauce, parsley, green onions, 1/2 the Cheddar cheese and 1/2 the Monterey Jack cheese. Transfer the mixture to an 8x12 inch baking dish. Top with remaining Cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses.
  • Bake in the preheated oven 20 to 30 minutes, until cheese is slightly browned.

Cheesy hot bean dip is a hit for any occasion. This easy recipe can be made in the oven or in the crock-pot!

Number Of Ingredients 5

30-32 ounce can of refried beans
1 1/2 cups sour cream
8 ounces cream cheese, cut into 8 chunks
1/4 cup taco seasoning
3 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided

Steps:

  • Combine the beans, sour cream, cream cheese, and taco seasoning in a slow cooker and stir to combine. Cover with a lid and cook on LOW for 3-4 hours or on HIGH for 1 1/2 - 2 hours.
  • Stir well and make sure the cream cheese has melted and is mixed throughout. Add half of the shredded cheese and stir again. Top with the remaining cheese and cover with lid. Cook an additional 30-60 minutes until the cheese has melted and the edges are bubbling.
  • Serve warm with plenty of tortilla chips. Top with chopped lettuce, tomatoes, and olives, if desired before serving.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Combine the beans and cream cheese in a large mixing bowl and stir until well-combined. Add the sour cream and taco seasoning and stir again. Add half the cheese and stir once more.
  • Transfer to a 2-quart baking dish or an 8-inch square pan. Top with the remaining cheese. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese has melted and the edges are bubbling.
  • Serve warm with plenty of tortilla chips. Top with chopped lettuce, tomatoes, and olives, if desired before serving. Enjoy!

1 cup picante sauce
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

Steps:

4 ounces cream cheese (softened)
16 ounces refried beans (canned)
½ package taco seasoning
4 ounces mild green chiles (diced and drained)
½ cup sour cream
2 green onions (divided)
¼ cup jalapenos (chopped, optional)
3 cups cheddar cheese (divided)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • Slice green onions dividing the white and green portions. Set the green part aside.
  • Combine cream cheese, refried beans, taco seasoning and sour cream with a hand mixer on until fluffy.
  • Add the whites of the onions, jalapenos, chiles and 2 cups of cheddar cheese.
  • Spread into a 2qt (or 8x8) baking dish.
  • Top with remaining cheese and bake 20-25 minutes or hot and cheese is melted.
  • Serve with tortilla chips.

1/2 cup cream cheese, at room temperature
1 cup full fat sour cream
1 tablespoon chopped seeded jalapeno pepper
3 tablespoons finely sliced green onions
398 ml refried beans
1 sweet red pepper, chopped
1 1/4 cups triple cheddar shredded cheese
368 g corn tortilla chips (PC sea salt kettle cooked)
430 ml salsa, mild (President's Choice)

Steps:

  • Preheat broiler.
  • In bowl and using wooden spoon, stir cream cheese until soft. Stir in sour cream, jalapenos and 1 tbsp (15 mL) of the green onions. With a whisk, beat until smooth. Spread evenly over bottom of 8-inch square (2 L) glass baking dish. Dollop refried beans evenly over surface; spread evenly with back of spoon. Sprinkle with peppers, then cheese.
  • Place baking dish in top third of oven. Broil for 4 to 6 minutes or until golden and bubbly. Top with remaining green onions. Serve immediately with tortilla chips and salsa.

1 teaspoon margarine or 1 teaspoon oil
3 jalapenos, diced
1/2 onion, minced
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 cup grated cheddar cheese or 1/4 cup monterey jack cheese

Steps:

  • Mash the beans to a'dip' consistency, adding a little bean broth if necessary.
  • Saute the jalepenos, onion and garlic in the margarine until the garlic and onion are translucent and the jalepenos have golden or brown edges.
  • Mix the beans, jalepenos, onions, and garlic.
  • Heat; sprinkle with cheese.
  • Serve.
  • Great with nacho chips or fritos.
