Steps:
- Put the peppers under the broiler to blacken evenly all over; leave the oven door slightly ajar to allow steam to escape. (Alternatively char the peppers over an open flame on the stovetop.) Put the peppers in a bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Cool the peppers in order to handle, peel and seed.
- Preheat a grill pan or griddle pan over medium-high heat.
- Meanwhile, season the chicken with salt and pepper and dried herbs, and coat with a little extra-virgin olive oil. Season the shrimp with the seafood seasoning and toss with a little oil as well.
- Coarse chop and put the red sweet peppers in a food processor with the vinegar, chilies, garlic and about 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil and puree into a sauce.
- Grill the chicken 6 minutes on each side. Grill shrimp 3 minutes on each side. Toss the chicken and shrimp with the marinade and serve hot or cold or at room temperature.

~ SWEET & SASSY SHRIMP ~ CASSIES
My family requested sweet & spicy shrimp for dinner, so I threw this concoction together and boy did they ever love it. Not a shrimp left. You can cut down on the heat if you prefer. My family likes it hot and my measurements of the spices were perfect for them. Enjoy!

Steps:
- 1. In a small dish, mix the sugar, garlic powder, garlic salt, Italian seasoning, cayenne, red pepper flakes.
- 2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 3 tablespoons of the butter with the oil. Add the spice mixture and stir making sure all is wet and mixed well with the oil and butter. Should be bubbling.
- 3. Add the shrimp, spreading out so to cook evenly, stirring occasionally ( about 2 minutes after adding ) make sure other side is cooked as well, only until opaque.
- 4. Stir in the remaining butter and sherry if using. Spoon hot shrimp and sauce over rice or pasta, with a squeeze of lemon if desired. My version is pretty spicy, you can cut down on the cayenne & pepper flakes to half if desired. My family likes hot.
- 5. Enjoy! They're delicious!
SPICY-SWEET GLAZED SHRIMP
Chili sauce and honey are all you need to build major flavor in this shrimp recipe. The glaze caramelizes on the grill for even more complexity. Feel free to try it with bone-in chicken pieces or beef kebabs, too.

SWEET AND SPICY SHRIMP STIR-FRY
I threw together a few random ingredients to create this stir-fry. It turned out DH thought it was the best ever and labeled it Recipezaar-worthy. The sauce is sweet and spicy with just the right amount of "kick". DH suggested the addition of sesame oil to the veggies just after they are cooked tender-crisp, which gives a little extra "something" to the dish. This recipe calls for shrimp, but one could substitute chicken or pork as well. Enjoy!

HOT AND SPICY SHRIMP
More like a Louisiana-Style "barbecued" shrimp rather than an Asian stir fry. Serve with some garlic bread and a salad.
