Ingredients

4 cups whole milk
4 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
2 tablespoons honey
1/4 cup bourbon
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Whipped cream and baking cocoa, optional

Steps:

In a large saucepan, heat milk over medium heat until bubbles form around sides of pan. Remove from heat; whisk in chocolate and honey until chocolate is completely melted. Return to heat; cook and stir until heated through., Remove from heat; stir in bourbon and vanilla. If desired, top with whipped cream; sprinkle with cocoa.

4 ounces bourbon
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice, plus 2 thinly sliced lemon rounds for serving
2 cinnamon sticks
4 whole cloves

Steps:

Bring 2 cups water to a boil in a small saucepan or tea kettle. Remove from heat and divide between two mugs. Divide bourbon, honey, lemon juice, cinnamon sticks, and cloves between mugs. Let stand 5 minutes, then stir and serve, garnished with lemon rounds.
