1 tablespoon dried peppermint
2 teaspoons dried thyme
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
water
1 tablespoon honey, to taste

Steps:

  • Place peppermint, thyme and cayenne in a teapot.
  • Boil some water and as soon as it starts to boil, pour 2 cups into teapot; cover and steep 5 minutes.
  • Strain and sweeten with honey.
  • Sip slowly while still warm.
  • May be carried in a thermos and sipped in 1/2 cup doses throughout the day.

2 teaspoons dried chamomile
2 teaspoons anise seed
1 tablespoon dried thyme
1 tablespoon dried sage
honey (to taste) (optional)

Steps:

  • Bring water to a boil.
  • While water comes to a boil add in chamomile, anise seed, thyme, and sage, stir well and turn off heat.
  • Cover pot and let steep for 3-5 minutes until liquid is golden brown.
  • Serve right away.
