HELLO DOLLY BARS (ORIGINAL RECIPE)
Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with baking spray or butter. Line it with parchment paper and leave an overhang on the sides.
- In a large bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until the crumbs are evenly moistened. Spread and press the crust into the bottom of the greased baking dish.
- Pour 1/2 can of sweetened condensed milk over the crust. Top with semi-sweet chocolate chips, walnuts, coconut, and white chocolate chips. Gently press the toppings into the crust. Pour the remaining condensed milk evenly over the toppings.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until lightly browned and the coconut flakes are golden. Let it cool to room temperature before slicing into squares.
- Using the overhangs, lift the baked dish onto a flat surface. Cut into bars with a sharp knife. Enjoy!

HELLO DOLLIES
Bar cookies are always brilliant, but these Hello Dollies are extra brilliant because salty Ritz crackers add balance to an otherwise strictly sweet treat.

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8 x 8-inch (20 x 20-cm)or 9 x 9-inch (23 x 23-cm) baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the crumbs from 35 smashed crackers and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of the baking dish. Sprinkle the chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, nuts and coconut over the cracker layer. Drizzle the condensed milk over the top, trying to make it reasonably even. I use a spoon and slowly drizzle the milk, spoonful by slow spoonful. Sprinkle the remaining crushed crackers over the top of the milk.
- Bake for about 25 minutes, or until the coconut is golden brown and the edges are nicely toasted. Let the bars cool for at least an hour. Cut into small triangles by first cutting 9 squares, the cutting each square in half on the diagonal to get 18 triangles.Store the bars in the fridge.

HELLO DOLLIES
These are rich, yummy layered squares that require no bowl or mixing. They are very easy to make and come out wonderful. (I have no idea where the name came from...got these out of a 30 year old women's club cookbook.) 12/23/08: Butter amount changed to reflect the advice and opinions in reviews. Thanks!
