Steps:
- Add pasta, 1 tspn. parsley flakes, dried onion (vary amount depending on how much you like onions), sea salt and pepper to a pot of water large enough to cook and stir all ingredients. Bring to a boil and then cook 8 minutes (al dente') or 10 minutes (soft). Drain in colander and rinse with cold water to chill down the pasta. It is not necessary to remove onion/parsley bits. Return to pot after thoroughly drained. Drizzle with EVOO and stir to coat all pasta, then place pot in refrigerator until completely cooled. To quicken the process place in freezer but keep an eye on it to make sure it's not freezing.
- Drain tuna, place in a small bowl and mash with a fork until it's of uniform consistency. Add a small amount of EVOO, remaining parsley flakes, minced onion to taste, salt & pepper to taste. Blend well. When pasta has completely cooled, add tuna mixture, carrot and tomato to pot and blend well. Taste and add EVOO/seasonings as desired.

Pour into a colander and drain under cool running water. Place reserved oil in a large bowl. Add dill, salt, pepper, lemon juice, lime juice, vinegar and olive oil, whisking to combine. Add tuna, pasta, tomatoes, garbanzo beans and spinach, tossing to combine. Serve immediately or cover and chill for up to 2 hours.
MOM'S TUNA PASTA SALAD
Steps:
- Bring a large pot of water to boil, add box of pasta to boiling water, and cook for about 7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Drain the pasta, and rinse in cold water to cool off the shells. Chop up the pickles and onion and add them to a large bowl. Cube the cheese (or buy the cheese already cubed to save time) and add to the pickles. Add the tuna to the pickles and cheese.
- Add the cooled pasta shells to the bowl along with the Miracle Whip and mix everything together. Add pepper and garlic powder to taste. The Miracle Whip should just evenly coat the tuna and shells, but not too thick a coat.
- Cover the bowl and chill it in the refrigerator at least 2 hours before serving.

SIMPLE TUNA PASTA SALAD
Some of the best recipes are the most simple. This is one of those. I prefer it just as written, but you may add any ingredients you choose such as chopped onion, scallions, chives, water chestnuts, chopped hard-boiled eggs, lemon-pepper, dill, parsley, etc. I often take this to potlucks when I need a quick and easy (and economical) dish. I've never had to take home left-overs. Tuna pasta salads can be found at many pot lucks. Albacore tuna is plentiful on the Pacific Coast, and this recipe represents the Western U.S.

Steps:
- Combine the cooked and drained pasta with the drained tuna, chopped celery, peas, and mayonnaise, using only enough mayonnaise for the salad to be creamy.
- (If it's made ahead, you may need more because the pasta will absorb the mayo.) Chill at least 1- 2 hours before serving.

TUNA PASTA SALAD
My own recipe for a delicious, cold salad made with multicolored rotini, canned tuna, onions, celery and carrots. It's wonderful in the summer as a light dinner served with blueberry or pineapple muffins. The secret is to used canned tuna in vegetable oil rather than water--it makes a more moist, delicate salad overall.
