SWEET HAM AND SWISS SLIDERS
I found this recipe on heatherlikesfood.com in a blog that she posted about Super Bowl food. The sauce that is poured over the rolls caramelizes and gives them a gooey sweetness that meshes perfectly with the ham and Swiss. They are one of the best sliders that I have ever had!

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 400°.
- On a rimmed baking sheet place bottom half of dinner rolls and top with 1 1/2 slices of ham and 1 slice of swiss cheese.
- Spread about 1 tsp of mayonnaise on each top-half of roll and place on top of ham and cheese.
- You want the rolls to be snug together, kissing just a bit so the sauce can soak up into all of the nooks and crannies.
- In a small bowl combine the mustard, melted butter, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds, and brown sugar.
- Mix until combined and evenly pour over the assembled rolls.
- Cover with foil and refrigerate until ready to bake.
- Bake covered with foil for 10 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes or until the tops are browned, and cheese is good and melted.

Steps:
- In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise and miracle whip. Spread onto both sides of the center of each roll. Place a slice of ham and a slice of Swiss inside of each roll. Close rolls and place them into a large baking dish or heavy cookie sheet. Place very close together.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together all of the poppy seed sauce ingredients. Pour evenly over all of the sandwiches. You do not have to use all of the sauce! Just use enough to cover the tops. Let sit 10 minutes or until butter sets slightly. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until cheese is melted. Uncover and cook for 2 additional minutes or until tops are slightly brown and crispy. Serve warm.
- sandwiches can be assembled a day ahead and kept in the fridge ready to bake.
SASSY HAM AND CHEESE SANDWICHES
Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a small bowl, combine the cream cheese, chives and thyme. Mix until well combined and set aside.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the butter, onions, Parmesan and Worcestershire sauce. Set aside in a warm spot to keep the butter from solidifying.
- Cut all 12 rolls in half. Place the roll bottoms in a 9- by 13-inch pan. Place equal amounts of ham (about 3 slices) on each roll. Top with the gruyere. Spread a generous amount of the chive and cream cheese on the roll tops. Place the tops on top of each sandwich bottom.
- Pour the butter mixture over the top of the sandwiches. Cover with foil and bake until the cheese is melted, about 20 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake an additional 5 minutes to toast the buns.
HAM AND SWISS SLIDERS ON HAWAIIAN ROLLS - SOUTHERN PLATE
Take ham and cheese sliders to the next level with ham and Swiss Hawaiian roll sliders, with a flavorful buttery mustard sauce on top.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350F. Line a 9×9-inch or 9×13-inch pan with aluminum foil, spray with cooking spray, and set it aside.
- Don't separate or pull the rolls apart. Instead, using a large knife, slice the rolls in half so you have a top layer and bottoms layer to work on. Keep the rolls connected.
- Put the bottom layer in the pan and put the first layer of cheese on the rolls. Spread the ham over the rolls, layer in the second layer of cheese, add the top layer of rolls, and set them aside.
- Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl or in a pot on top of the stove on very low heat. Add the mustard, onion, poppy seeds, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and stir/whisk that up to combine.
- Pour the butter mix over the rolls and take your time. Spread the butter mixture over the tops. A spatula works well. Some of the mixture will sit at the base of the rolls. That's no problem.
- Cover with aluminum foil and let the rolls sit at room temperature for a bit, usually 5 to 10 minutes.
- Next, bake, covered, for about 20 minutes or until the cheese has melted. Take the foil off then cook for another 3 to 5 minutes, or until your heart is content. Baking time will vary based on your own oven so keep an eye on them so they don't burn and bake until they look good to you.
- Slice into individual sliders and serve. They are good warm or cold.

- The rolls will look like a large solid piece of bread. Leave the rolls intact and slice the loaf in half with a long serrated knife to form a top layer and a bottom layer. Do NOT pull the rolls apart, you want to keep them connected. Place the bottom half of the rolls in the prepared pan
- Layer the ham and the cheese on the bottom layer of rolls, then place the top layer of rolls over the ham and cheese and set aside.
- In a small bowl add melted butter, poppy seeds, Worcestershire sauce, dry mustard, onion powder, and whisk to combine. Slowly and evenly pour butter mixture over rolls. You can use a rubber spatula to spread the mixture over the rolls if needed. NOTE: some of the butter mixture will pool at the bottom of the pan.
