2 cups celery, sliced thin in 1 inch strips
1/2 cup onion, sliced
1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 1/2 cups water
1 beef bouillon cube
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
16 ounces bean sprouts or 4 cups chopped cabbage

Steps:

  • Cook celery, onion and ground beef about 5 minutes until meat begins to brown.
  • Blend cornstarch with water and stir into beef mixture.
  • Add bouillon cube, soy sauce and salt.
  • Cook, stirring constantly, until sauce is thickened and clear.
  • Stir in bean sprouts or cabbage.
  • Cook covered about 3 minutes until cabbage is tender if cabbage is used.
  • If bean sprouts are used, heat thoroughly.
  • Serve over rice.

3/4 lb browned pork steak (cut into bite size pieces)
1/2 cup Minute Rice (uncooked)
3/4 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped celery
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
1 1/2 cups warm water
1 cup chow mein noodles

Steps:

  • Mix ingredients except chow mein noodles and bake in 2-quart casserole for one hour at 350deg. Add noodles and bake for an additional 15 minute.

8 ounces elbow macaroni
1 1/4 to 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes
1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon sweet paprika
1 bay leaf
Kosher salt, to taste
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Steps:

  • Heat the oven to 350 F/180 C/Gas 4.
  • Lightly butter a 2 1/2- to 3-quart baking dish or spray it with nonstick cooking spray .
  • Bring a large saucepan of salted water to a boil over high heat. Add the macaroni and cook following the package directions. Drain well and set aside.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. When the oil is hot add the ground beef, onion, and bell pepper. Cook until the onion is tender and the beef is no longer pink, stirring frequently.
  • Add the tomatoes, tomato sauce, garlic powder , sugar, paprika, and bay leaf. Taste and add kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, as needed. Bring the sauce to a simmer. Reduce the heat and simmer for about 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Remove the bay leaf and combine the sauce with the drained macaroni. Mix thoroughly.
  • Transfer the American chop suey mixture to the prepared baking dish .
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the casserole.
  • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the casserole is hot and cheese has melted.
  • Serve and enjoy!

2 Tbsp soy sauce
chow mein noodles

Steps:

  • 1. Brown beef, onions, and celery; then drain.
  • 2. Mix other ingredients with meat mixture.
  • 3. Put in casserole dish and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Top with chow mein noodles.

1 lb lean ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 (6 ounce) package long grain and wild rice blend
1 3/4 cups water
5 tablespoons soy sauce
2 cups shredded cabbage
1 cup bean sprouts
1 cup carrot, sliced into thin strips
1 cup celery, cut into thin strips
1/2 lb fresh white mushroom, sliced

Steps:

  • In a large skillet brown beef and onion stirring occasionally until crumbly.
  • Drain off fat.
  • Put beef and onion into crock pot.
  • Stir in rice mix including dry seasoning packet, water and 4 TBS of soy sauce.
  • Cover and cook on high setting 2 hours.
  • Stir in vegetables and mushrooms.
  • cover and continue cooking on high about 30 minutes longer or until rice is tender and vegetables are crisp tender.
  • Stir in remaining 1 TBS soy sauce and serve at once.
  • Note: For more pronounce Asian flavor, stir in another tablespoon soy sauce before serving.

2 celery ribs, sliced
1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
1 medium green pepper, sliced
1 medium sweet red pepper, sliced
1 medium onion, halved and thinly sliced
1 can (14 ounces) bean sprouts, drained
1 can (8 ounces) sliced water chestnuts, drained
1 cup fresh spinach, torn

Steps:

1 small onion, chopped
1/4 tsp pepper
28 oz can chow mein vegetables,undrained
1 small can chopped water chestnuts, drained
16 oz can bean sprouts, undrained
10 oz can cream of mushroom soup
10 oz can cream of chicken soup
10 oz water , using soup can
1 c uncooked rice
3 Tbsp soy sauce, low sodium
3 oz can chow mein noodles,for crunch

Steps:

  • 1. Lightly brown beef and onions together in a skillet. Using a 4-quart baking dish, combine the vegetables, soup, water,rice,pepper,bean sprouts, water chestnuts,and soy sauce.. Stir in prepared meat mixture. Cover the dish and bake at 350^ for 1 hour and 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, adding water if necessary. Uncover and sprinkle with the noodles. Return to oven and bake uncovered for another 10 minutes.
