I love making this salmon, it's quick, easy and super yummy! If your husband/boyfriend is a picky eater like mine he will love this recipe.

1 ½ teaspoons ground black pepper
½ teaspoon paprika
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon brown sugar
½ teaspoon onion powder
¼ teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 (6 ounce) salmon fillets
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 ½ tablespoons minced onion

Steps:

  • Combine the black pepper, paprika, cayenne pepper, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, onion powder, and salt in a small bowl. Stir in 1 tablespoon of olive oil to make a paste. Spread the paste all over the salmon fillets, and set aside to marinate at room temperature 30 minutes.
  • Heat the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a small pan over medium heat. Stir in the onion, and cook until tender and golden brown, about 10 minutes. Heat a separate non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the salmon fillets in the hot skillet until golden brown on each side, and no longer translucent in the center, about 4 minutes per side. Pour the browned onions and olive oil over the salmon fillets to serve.

1/2 teaspoon lemon-pepper seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt, optional
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 salmon fillet (1-1/2 pounds)
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
3 tablespoons chicken broth
3 tablespoons canola oil
3 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
3 tablespoons finely chopped green onions
1 small lemon, thinly sliced
2 onion slices, separated into rings

Steps:

  • Sprinkle dill, lemon-pepper, salt if desired and garlic powder over salmon. In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the brown sugar, broth, oil, soy sauce and green onions; add salmon. Seal bag and turn to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour, turning once. , Drain and discard marinade. Grill salmon skin side down, over medium heat; arrange lemon and onion slices over the top. These are absolutely melt in your mouth delicious! You can make them on the grill or in the oven. Even friends of ours that don't care for onions loved these! I would recommend that you use 1 large onion for every 2 people. Some people want one whole onion to themselves so you might want to make some extra! They are also good heated up the next day but we rarely have any extra!

1 large Vidalia or sweet onion, peeled and cut into large wedges
2 tablespoons softened butter
1 teaspoon beef bouillon granules
1 pinch garlic salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat an outdoor grill for medium heat.
  • Place the onion wedges on a sheet of heavy duty aluminum foil. Dot with butter, then sprinkle with bouillon, garlic salt, and pepper to taste. Fold the aluminum foil into a packet, leaving only a small hole at the top to allow steam to escape.
  • Place packet on preheated grill, and cook until the onions have softened, and cooked to a deep, rich brown, 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on the temperature of the grill. Stir the onions after the first 30 minutes, or as needed to keep from burning.

3 large onions, sliced into strips
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 lb ground chicken
3 Tbsp teriyaki sauce
1 cup panko crumbs
1 egg, slightly beaten
2 Tbsp cilantro, chopped
½ tsp red chili flakes
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 green onions, chopped
1 Tbsp grated ginger
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
8 slices Swiss cheese
4 slices fresh pineapple
4 burger buns

Steps:

  • Begin caramelizing the onions: in a skillet over low heat, saute onions in oil until softened and dark brown in colour, 1-2 hours. The longer the better!
  • In a large bowl, combine chicken, teriyaki sauce, panko crumbs, egg, cilantro, red chili flakes, garlic, green onions, ginger and Worcestershire sauce. Using your hands, form into 4 patties, place on a plate, cover, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour*.
  • Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Grill burgers about 5 minutes per side until cooked all the way through. Place cheese on top of patties and cook for a minute longer until cheese is melted.
  • Meanwhile, grill pineapple slices, about 3 minutes per side, until charred.
  • Serve patties on burger buns, topped with a slice of pineapple and a scoop of caramelized onions.

  • Peel and cut onions into quarters or eighths and slice in food processor.

1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary or 1 teaspoon dried rosemary

1 -1 1/3 lb salmon fillet, skinned and cut into 4 portions

Steps:

  • Swirl olive oil in bottom of medium nonstick skillet.
  • Add onions and sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon salt.
  • Cover and cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until onions are soft, about 10 minutes.

  • Preheat a grill to high.
  • Lightly mist both sides of each salmon fillet with spray. Season with salt and pepper. Lightly mist a large sheet of aluminum foil and place it directly on the grill rack, spray side up.
