A sweet, warm breakfast idea. Cooked like a grilled cheese, but filled with melted peanut butter and warm bananas.

cooking spray
2 tablespoons peanut butter
2 slices whole wheat bread
1 banana, sliced

Steps:

  • Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat, and coat with cooking spray. Spread 1 tablespoon of peanut butter onto one side of each slice of bread. Place banana slices onto the peanut buttered side of one slice, top with the other slice and press together firmly. Fry the sandwich until golden brown on each side, about 2 minutes per side.

4 ounces whole peanut butter
2 slices Texas Toast or 1/2-inch-thick bread
1 whole ripe banana
4 ounces whole butter

Steps:

  • Spread peanut butter side to side, evenly on 1 side of each piece of bread. Slice banana in 3/4-inch slices and place on 1 piece of bread with peanut butter. Banana slices should be close together, and cover 1 side completely (usually 9 slices). Top with the other slice of bread.
  • Heat butter in saute pan on medium heat. Place sandwich in pan and brown for approximately 3 to 5 minutes or until golden brown. Add 2 ounces of butter to the pan and flip sandwich to other side and continue cooking for 2 to 5 minutes or until golden brown and peanut butter is melting. Cut into quarters and serve very hot.

1/2 cup chunky peanut butter
4 bananas, lightly mashed
1/4 cup honey
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons butter

Steps:

  • Spread peanut butter and mashed bananas over the center third of each tortilla.
  • Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with cinnamon. Roll up tortillas, folding ends under to seal.
  • Melt butter in a heavy nonstick skillet over medium heat. Saute filled tortillas 2-3 minutes per side or until golden.

1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup cranberry sauce
8 flour tortillas or 8 whole wheat tortillas
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

Steps:

  • Combine cream cheese and cranberry sauce in a small bowl until well blended.
  • Spread four tortillas with cranberry-cream cheese mixture to within 1/2-inch of the edges of tortillas. Top each tortilla with a second tortilla. Spread top tortilla with peanut butter, to within 1/2-inch of edges. Carefully roll up the layered tortillas. Wrap each securely in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for several hours or overnight.
  • Remove from refrigerator to serve. Unwrap. Slice each tortilla into 4 to 8 slices. Serve with additional chutney for dipping, if desired.

1 large ripe banana (cut in half lengthways, then in 1/4s)
4 slices egg bread (or your favorite bread)
3 tablespoons butter
4 tablespoons peanut butter (any kind you like)
2 teaspoons powdered sugar

Steps:

  • Use 1 tbsp of peanut butter on each slice of bread. Put 1/2 the banana on 2 slices of bread, top with other 2 slices of bread making a sandwich.Using 1 tsbp of butter, butter the outside of each sandwich.
  • Heat nonstick frypan on meidum hi heat,add 1 tbsp of butter,when butter is melted add sandwich and grill both sides until golden brown.
  • Remove to a plate and sprinkle powder sugar on top. Serve immediately.

Kids love to make these and they are so good too! Take these camping or for a pot luck. Just cut them into fourths. DO NOT GIVE TO CHILDREN UNDER ONE YEAR OF AGE, unless you omit the honey.

4 flour tortillas, taco size
2 bananas, medium size
1/2 cup honey
4 tablespoons nuts, chopped, any kind
8 tablespoons peanut butter, your favorite kind

Steps:

  • Mash bananas on a plate and set aside.
  • Spread peanut butter on each tortilla.
  • Next spread mashed banana one each tortilla.
  • Sprinkle with nuts.
  • Drizzle with honey.
  • Microwave each tortilla for 15 to 20 seconds.
  • Remove to plates as they can get messy and roll up.
  • ENJOY!
  • Can also sprinkle on chocolate chips or other favorite toppings.
  • These are quite filling.

Steps:

  • Start heating your skillet.
  • Lay your tortilla out and spread peanut butter on half of it.
  • Cover the peanut butter with sliced bananas.
  • If you want a variation, add it here.
  • Fold the tortilla in half and butter each side, just like a grilled cheese.
  • Grill each side until golden brown in your skillet.
