These Honey Garlic Chicken Wings are sweet, garlicky, and sticky. Everything you'd ever want in a chicken wing, plus they're baked, not fried!

2 pounds chicken wings (rinsed and pat dry)
1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
1 teaspoon pepper (or to taste)
3 green onions (chopped, optional)
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon molasses
3 tablespoon honey
6 cloves garlic (finely minced)
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 tablespoon brown sugar (packed)
1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
1 teaspoon pepper (or to taste)

Steps:

  • If your chicken wings are whole, cut them into 3 pieces at the joints and discard wing tips.
  • Preheat oven to 425 F degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Salt and pepper the wings and then place them on the baking sheet.
  • Bake them for 40 to 45 min to an hour depending on how crispy you want them.
  • Mix the rest of the ingredients together. Pour the mixture in a small saucepan and over medium heat bring the sauce to a boil then reduce heat and simmer until mixture reduces and thickens, about 5 minutes, it should reduce to about half.
  • Place the wings in a bowl and drizzle the sauce over the wings. Toss the wings in the bowl until each wing is fully coated.
  • Garnish with green onions, if preferred, and serve hot.

Juice and some pulp from 1.5 grapefruits, (1 1/4 cups)
2 tbsp minced garlic
1 tbsp honey
1/4 tsp salt
6 full wings (12 split)
2 tbsp coconut oil or ghee
salt and pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 F.
  • Over medium heat melt coconut oil in a frying pan.
  • Carefully place chicken wings in the pan, sprinkle with salt and pepper, fry for aprox 2 minutes each side.
  • Place wings on a baking sheet and pop in the oven.
  • Over medium heat combine grapefruit juice, minced garlic, honey and salt, simmer for 20 min stirring regularly, it will start to reduce making more of a sauce.
  • Brush the sauce on the wings and pop them back in the oven for 5 minutes.
  • Repeat at 5 min intervals until you run out of sauce, the wings should be in oven a total of 45 minutes.

  • Stir onion, honey, brown sugar, soy sauce, butter, mustard powder, and garlic together in a saucepan over medium heat; cook until hot, about 5 minutes.
  • Spread chicken wings in an even layer into a shallow baking dish; pour sauce over the wings.
  • Marinate wings in refrigerate 1 hour to overnight.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Bake the chicken wings, turning occasionally, until no longer pink at the bone and the juices run clear, about 90 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted near the bone should read 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).

1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon pepper
½ teaspoon salt
2 lb chicken winglets, and/or chicken drumlets
oil, for frying
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon garlic, minced
1 tablespoon ginger
½ cup soy sauce
5 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon sesame seed
scallion

Steps:

  • Mix flour, garlic powder, pepper, and salt in a small bowl.
  • Coat each chicken wing with a generous layer of the flour mixture.
  • Pour ¼ inch (6 mm) of oil into a shallow pan, and bring it to a medium high heat.
  • In small batches, fry the chicken wings for 4 minutes on each side.
  • Remove from the oil and let rest on a paper towel.
  • Over medium-high heat, melt the butter and add the garlic and ginger.
  • Add soy sauce, honey, and brown sugar to pan and reduce for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add the fried wings directly into the sauce pan and stir until the wings are covered in the sauce, then sprinkle with sesame seeds.

3 -4 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup honey
1/4 cup soya sauce
1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
2 cups flour
2 tablespoons powdered ginger

2 eggs, slightly beaten
4 tablespoons cold water
3 lbs chicken wings, trimmed and cut into sections

Steps:

  • For the sauce: In a medium sauce pan, cook over medium heat the olive oil and garlic to slightly soften; do not let it brown. Add the honey, soya sauce and black pepper. Continue to cook over medium heat and simmer sauce for 5-10 minutes, watching carefully as it simmers because it can foam up and overflow. Remove from heat and allow to cool thoroughly; set aside.
  • The coating: Mix together the 'coating mixture'; set aside.
  • The wash: In a seperate bowl, whisk together the slightly beaten eggs and cold water.
  • Wash and pat dry the wing sections. Dip the wing pieces into the egg wash and then toss into the flour mixture to evenly coat.
  • Drop the coated wings into a preheated 350 degree F deep fryer, filled with vegetable oil.
  • Fry until golden brown, about 15-20 min depending on the size of the wing pieces. While still hot out of the oil, toss the wing pieces in a large bowl with some of the honey garlic sauce.

2 lbs chicken wings (split, tips removed, towel-dried)
water
1/2 cup kosher salt
vegetable oil (for frying)
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup ketchup
1/3 cup dark soy sauce
3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
5 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Steps:

  • Brine the wings in a covered container by first dissolving kosher salt in cold water. Make sure there is enough water to cover the wings. Refrigerate the wings and salt solution for 4-6 hours maximum.
  • Meanwhile, make the sauce: Combine the honey, ketchup, dark soy sauce, vinegar, minced garlic, black pepper and cayenne in a small saucepan. Simmer on low for 15 minutes to thicken. Set aside.
  • After the wings are done brining, heat the oil in a deep fryer to 320°F.
  • Drain the wings and dry them with paper towel. When the oil reaches the desired temperature, fry the wings a batch at a time (about 10-12 wings together will be best). Depending on the size of your wings, cooking time will vary from 10-15 minutes (check for doneness, even if wings seem pale they may be cooked through).
  • Remove wings from the fryer and place in a large bowl. Add 2 tbsp of the sauce and toss the wings to coat evenly. Add more sauce if needed, but start with a little at a time. Continue frying up remaining wings and repeat this step.
  • Serve with napkins, as these get your fingers sticky!
