  • Wash the grapes. Put all the grapes in a colander and rinse them in warm water. This will help to get rid of the pesticides and chemicals used to grow them.
  • Mash up the grapes. Use a potato masher until their juice begins to come out. An alternative to using a potato masher is to use a blender on pulse. Be sure not to blend them to a puree though.
  • Cook the grapes. Put the mashed grapes in a pot and cook them on medium heat for around 10 minutes. Mash up the grapes using a spoon or a potato masher if they start clumping up or retain their chunkiness.
  • Strain the juice. Put the sieve over a container or directly to a drinking glass. Pour the grapes into the sieve and then strain the mixture through. An alternative to using the sieve is using a cheesecloth.
  • Cool the juice. Remove the sieve or cheesecloth and put the juice in the refrigerator so it can cool, or pour the juice over ice in a drinking glass.

10 HEALTH BENEFITS OF GRAPE JUICE - FOOD DISTRIBUTOR ...

From sanglafoods.com
  • Slows Down Memory Loss. Grapes have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, which helps to influence your neuronal signaling. Thus consuming juice made from dark red and purple grapes may help to lower the risk of dementia because resveratrol serves as a brain tonic, thus boosting mood, learning, and spatial memory.
  • Controls Diabetes and Blood Glucose. Oxidative stress is the primary cause of diabetes mellitus but consuming grape juice reduces insulin resistance. This is because grapes have potent antioxidants like anthocyanins, flavonols, resveratrol, and phenolic acids that reduce insulin resistance.
  • Keeps Your Heart Healthy. Grapes are loaded with antioxidants such as resveratrol, procyanidins, quercetin, saponins, tannins which protect your heart.
  • Lowers Blood Pressure. Grape juice has potassium that can help the body to remove excess sodium. It can also relax your blood vessels, thus lowering blood pressure.
  • Anticancer Properties. Regular intake of purple grape juice may help prevent DNA damage that can lead to cancer because its phytochemicals boost the plasma antioxidant capacity in the immune system cells.
  • Promote Digestion and Gut Health. Grapes have polyphenols, and although they have limited absorption, they help keep your guts free from oxidative stress, pathogens, and inflammation.
  • Burns Fat. Taking wine and red grape juice helps the body to burn fat, while flour made from white grape seeds effectively manages metabolic diseases and obesity.
  • Protects Your Skin. Cranberries, grape juice, red wine, and peanuts have resveratrol which has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. It contains decent amounts of hydrolyzed collagen that enhances skin health.
  • Prevent UTIs in Women. Cranberry and other purple grape juice may help to fight bacteria that cause UTIs. Proanthocyanidin in these grapes is similar to those in cranberries that block the bacterial adhesion, contributing to UTIs.
  • Weight-Loss Friendly. Grape juice can help you lose weight because it has natural sugars instead of refined sugar or artificial sweeteners found in most carbonated drinks like soda.
