GRANDMA'S PRESSURE COOKER HOT GERMAN POTATO SALAD

Grandma's Pressure Cooker Hot German Potato Salad image

Hot German potato salad first started appearing in cookbooks back in the 1940s, and now it's making a comeback! Adapted for flavor, ease, and time, this recipe is made in your pressure cooker instead of three different pots on the stove. This dish works great as a side, main dish, or even for breakfast with an egg on top.

Yield 6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 10

6 strips bacon, uncooked
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup water
3 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons honey mustard or Dijon mustard

Chop bacon when cool. Drain fat from pot and return to pressure cooker base. Whisk vinegar, water, sugar, mustard, parsley, salt, and ground black pepper together in a bowl. Place chopped bacon, potatoes, and onions in pressure cooker pot and pour vinegar mixture over the top. Lock pressure cooker lid in place and turn steam vent handle to Sealing. PRESSURE COOKER GERMAN POTATO SALAD WITH SAUSAGE

Pressure Cooker German Potato Salad With Sausage image

quick creamy german potato salad that is made in a pressure cooker. It is take out of the "The Pressure Cooker Cookbook" by Toula Patsalis. I use lower fat turkey sausage. I have tried regular sausage in this recipe and it makes the salad too greasy. I normally dice the radishes and bell peppers in small pieces. I use about a half a pepper. I have substituted regular yellow mustard for dry mustard. Black pepper seems to be ok to use as well.

GRANDMA FLO'S GERMAN POTATO SALAD

Grandma Flo's German Potato Salad image

A wonderful German dish, that has been passed down from my grandmother to my mother and now to me. The trick to this recipe is not to stir the bacon & cream mixture, let it reduce in size and foam. This will cut the grease from the bacon into the cream and it will not separate later on.
