Steps:

Rub rim of a chilled margarita glass with half a lime.
Dip into salt to coat.
In a shaker with ice, add Jose Cuervo Especial, Jose Cuervo Lime Margarita mix, and Grand Marnier.
Shake vigorously.
Strain into glass filled with ice

1 1/2 ounces gold tequila
1/2 ounce orange-flavored liqueur, such as Grand Marnier
1 ounce fresh lime juice
1 ounce Simple Syrup, recipe follows
1/2 ounce egg whites
1 cup sugar
1 cup water

Steps:

Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice. Add the tequila, liqueur, lime juice, Simple Syrup and egg whites. Shake for 8 to 10 seconds. Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice.
Put the sugar and water in a small saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring, until the sugar dissolves. (Alternatively, heat in the microwave.) Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator.

1 1/2 ounces gold tequila
1 ounce orange liqueur
1 ounce lime juice (fresh)
1 ounce sour mix
Optional: dash orange juice
Garnish: lime wedge

Steps:

Gather the ingredients.
If you like, rim a chilled margarita glass with salt: Wet the rim with a lime wedge then roll it in a shallow dish of coarse salt.
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, pour the tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, and sour mix. Add a splash of orange juice if you prefer.
Shake well .
Strain into the prepared glass.
Garnish with a lime wedge. Serve and enjoy.

Is it a dessert? Or is it a cocktail...? That is the great thing about this recipe-it can be both! This is a creative twist on two classic favorites. Notice that I am using an already made margarita mix rather than making my own; I usually make this for entertaining, so buying the mix is much more practical (and saves you from juicing a million limes!) Just make sure you buy a good one. If you prefer to make your own, that is fine. Just don't add too much alcohol or it won't freeze.

2/3 cup golden tequila
2/3 cup orange juice
1 1/3 cups margarita mix
1/4 cup Grand Marnier
margarita salt (or kosher salt)
lime rind
orange rind

Steps:

In a shallow, rectangular pan, combine the tequila, margarita mix, orange juice and Grand Marnier. Place in the freezer. After about 1 ½ hours, scrape the top with a fork to form "snow", slowly working your way to the bottom of the pan. Return to the freezer. Wait another 1 ½ hours, and repeat this step. Repeat the scraping occasionally until it is ready to serve.
To serve: rub the rim of a chilled martini glass with lime juice and dip rim in salt, scoop in the granita, and garnish with lime and orange twist. Serve immediately.
