A Milkshake a Hot Mischievous Goddesses would love! I read 9 out of 10 like chocolate and the tenth is lying! LOL! I came up with this recipe for my team mates and want to share with all off the tour. Made with optional ingredients Switzerland is known for. The Swiss are known for chocolate, cream, cheese, jams and kirsh! Liqueur can be a choice of what you enjoy. pick from kirsh, Premium Cresta Swiss Chocolate Liqueur, Absinthe, Goldschläger, Williams, a fruit brandy made from pears, Pflümli aSwiss fruit brandy made from fermented plums, or Himbeergeist a Schnapps made from Swiss ripe raspberries macerated, distilled, and aged in cellars. It is extremely fruity, and it is served as a digestif. Do take note these are all optional. Serve with booze to those of drinking age. I can't wait to see what mixes you create.

Number Of Ingredients 10

4 cups premium quality chocolate ice cream
2 cups milk, less for thicker shakes
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 ounces chocolate syrup (optional)
2 ounces cream cheese, Petit suisse your favorite soft cream cheese (optional)
2 ounces jam, like Swizz apricot, black cherry, current, blackberry, raspberry, marmalade (optional)
2 ounces kirsch (liqueurs of choice) (optional)
1/4 cup sweetened whipped cream
1 tablespoon chocolate shavings, for garnish
4 cherries (optional)

Steps:

  • Using a blender, blend ice cream, milk, vanilla, and one or any of the optional shake ingredients together until smooth.
  • You can add a handful of ice cubes if trying to keep the calories down.
  • Top with whipped cream and a Swiss Lindt chocolate shavings.
  • Topping with optional cherry.
  • Make it a chocolate covered cherry. ;).
  • Enjoy!

To celebrate making it through this week, I found it only appropriate to create a candy recipe, this being of course my favorite category of recipe and possibly my favorite food group. Yes, for some of us, candy is a food group.

Number Of Ingredients 4

2 cups dark chocolate (73%)
1 teaspoon orange extract
1 cup almonds, toasted then coarsely chopped
1 cup unsweetened dried shredded coconut, toasted

Steps:

  • In a medium saucepan, melt the chocolate over very low heat.
  • Stir in the orange extract.
  • Allow the nuts and coconut to cool, then stir them into the melted chocolate.
  • Drop by heaping tablespoonful onto a parchment lined baking sheet.
  • Allow to cool.
  • If need be (as in it's too hot in your kitchen for these to set) transfer clusters to a plate and cool in freezer.
  • Serve.

Number Of Ingredients 8

100g salted butter, chopped
200g dark chocolate, chopped
2 tbsp golden syrup
150g digestive biscuits
100g mini marshmallows
50g pecans, roughly chopped
50g sultanas
edible gold lustre, for dusting (optional)

Steps:

  • Melt the butter, chocolate and golden syrup in a heatproof bowl over a pan of just simmering water, stirring occasionally.
  • Break the biscuits into pieces into another bowl, then add the marshmallows, pecans and sultanas. Pour in the melted chocolate and gently stir everything together until well-coated. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto a baking tray lined with baking parchment, then dust each with some edible gold lustre, if using. Chill for 1 hr before packaging. Will keep in the fridge for up to three days.
