Steps:
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the marinade ingredients and add beef strips.
- Toss to coat well.
- Allow to marinade 30 minutes or overnight.
- In frying pan or electric wok, heat 2 tsp oil over medium heat.
- Stir fry beef mixture in oil 2-3 minutes or until browned.
- Remove from pan, and set aside.
- In pan add remaining 3 tsps of oil, and stir fry vegetables, garlic and ginger for 1 minute.
- Add beef back to pan and stir fry 2 minutes.
- Mix cornstarch and water together and add to frying pan.
- Cook, stirring constantly, until sauce is thickened.
- Serve with rice or oriental noodles.
GINGER BEEF STIR-FRY
This stir-fry comes together for quick weeknight meal. I do not suggest dry garlic powder or dry ginger, as you will not get the flavor profile fresh ginger and garlic bring. Serve on top of cooked rice.

- Mix 1 tablespoon cornstarch, water and salt; toss with beef. In a small bowl, mix broth, soy sauce, sugar, orange zest and remaining cornstarch until smooth., In a large skillet, heat 2 teaspoons oil over medium-high heat; stir-fry half of the beef until browned, 2-3 minutes. Remove from pan. Repeat with additional 2 teaspoons oil and remaining beef., Stir-fry carrots in remaining oil 2 minutes. Add ginger, garlic and, if desired, pepper flakes; cook and stir until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Stir broth mixture and add to pan; bring to a boil. Cook and stir until slightly thickened. Stir in beef; heat through. Serve with rice.

CRISPY GINGER BEEF
If you like sweet, spicy, crispy Chinese food- this is for you. Adapted from a recipe I saw on "Fixing Dinner" with Sandi Richard.

Steps:
- Place cornstarch in a large bowl.
- Add water gradually while whisking.
- Beat eggs into cornstarch mixture.
- Toss in beef and stir to coat.
- Pour 1 inch of oil into wok, heat until boiling hot, but not smoking.
- Add a quarter of the beef to the oil.
- Seperate with a fork and cook, stirring frequently, until crispy, Remove, drain on paper towel and set aside.
- Repeat until all the beef is cooked.
- Drain off all oil except for about 1 tablespoons and add carrots, onion, ginger, and garlic in that order.
- Stir fry briefly over high heat.
- Combine last 5 ingredients and add to vegetable mixture.
- Bring to a boil and then add beef.
- Heat thorough and serve immediately.
EASY GINGER BEEF
In looking for a healthier version of the standard ginger beef, I came up with this non-deep fried version. The longer you marinate the beef, the more ginger flavor it soaks up.

- Place steak, ginger, and soy sauce in a bowl; turn to coat steak. Cover tightly; marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or up to overnight.

- Thinly slice flank steak diagonally across the grain.
- In a slow cooker, combine steak, consomme, soy sauce, ginger, onions, and garlic.
- Cover and cook on LOW 5-6 hours or until steak is tender.
- Turn control to HIGH.
- Dissolve cornstarch in water in a small bowl and stir into cooker.
- Cover and cook on HIGH 10-15 minutes or until thickened.
- During the last 5 minutes, drop in vegetables and re-cover.

- Place cornstarch in a large bowl; gradually whisk in water until smooth. Whisk eggs into cornstarch mixture; toss steak strips in mixture to coat.

- In a large bowl, mix onions, garlic, ginger, turmeric, dried chile pepper, and salt. Place flank steak in the mixture, and toss to coat. Cover, and place in the refrigerator at least 15 minutes.
- Heat oil in a Dutch oven over medium high heat, and stir in onion and steak mixture. Cook and stir until steak is lightly browned. Mix in tomatoes, and cook over high heat about 10 minutes.
- Mix onion soup into the Dutch oven. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 1 hour, until meat is tender.
- Place rice and water in a medium saucepan, and bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes. Serve the steak mixture over the cooked rice.

GINGER STIR FRIED BEEF
Don't pass this one up, it is the best recipes for ginger fried beef I have ever tried! You can prepare the beef hours in advance if desired.

- Slice the steak while partially frozen into narrow strips (this makes it easier to slice).
- Defrost the meat completely and squeeze out any excess water in the beef strips.
- In a bowl, mix together the beef strips and beaten eggs.
- Dissolve the cornstarch in 1/2 cup water, and mix with beef/egg mixture.
- Pour in about 3-4 tablespoons of oil in a wok until very hot, but not smoking.
- Add half of the beef to the oil.
- Separate with a fork, and cook, stirring occasionally until crispy, transfer to a plate.
- Repeat with the remaining beef.
- Remove the beef, set aside and drain oil.
- Up to this point, the beef can be prepared well in advance.
- Add in 1-2 tablespoons new oil, and heat oil to very hot.
- Add in carrots, green onions, ginger and garlic; stir fry over high heat for a couple of minutes.
- Add in soy sauce, red or white wine, vinegar, sesame oil and crushed chilies (if using).
- Bring to a boil.
- Add in the beef; mix well to combine.
- Serve with or over cooked rice.
- Delicious!
