Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine the butter, basil, parsley and garlic powder. Beat on medium-low speed until mixture is combined. Garnish with sage and thyme.

1/2 cup butter (or one stick), softened
2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese (see note)
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1/2 tsp dried basil (optional)
1/4 tsp onion powder

Steps:

  • Make sure your butter is softened to room temperature. Put it in a small dish and add in other ingredients.
  • Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated. Then use as a spread on bread or as a butter for a baked potato.

1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

  • Spread on your favorite bread.

2 cloves garlic, minced
¼ teaspoon dried marjoram

1 loaf unsliced Italian bread

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In a bowl, mix together the butter, Parmesan cheese, garlic, marjoram, basil, fines herbs mix, oregano, black pepper, and parsley until thoroughly combined. Split the Italian bread loaf in half lengthwise, and spread each half generously with the butter mixture.
  • Bake the garlic bread on the top rack of the preheated oven until the butter mixture melts and bubbles, 10 to 15 minutes; turn on the broiler, and broil until the bread is your desired shade of golden brown, 1 to 2 more minutes.

1 head garlic
1 (19 ounce) can white kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
4 teaspoons white wine vinegar or 4 teaspoons cider vinegar

1/8-1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped

  • separate and peel cloves of garlic.
  • In saucepan of boiling water, blanch garlic for 1 minute, drain (or if preferred, roast garlic).

This stuff is fabulous! I love to use this to spread on top of warm breadsticks or rolls right out of the oven. Before when I made breadsticks, I could never get a strong enough flavor to come through in my breadsticks. Just slather this on top of or inside of homemade breadsticks or rolls. It's so much better than just sprinkling on Parmesan and garlic powder. You can also add Italian seasoning if you like. If you don't have minced garlic, you can substitute 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. garlic powder. However, I prefer minced with an additional dash of garlic powder. Mmmmmm... I have added to mashed potatoes or to butter up noodles. Make a bunch and store it in the fridge- it'll become a regular staple!
