Frozen Orange Drink Food

FROZEN ORANGE DRINK

Steps:

• In a mixer, blend 200 ml (approximately 7 fluid ounces) freshly squeezed orange juice with 2 cl (approximately 1 fluid ounce) lime juice, 1 teaspoon cane sugar and crushed ice (enough to fill the serving glass). Set mixer to the highest level and mix until frothy. Put half the mixture into a cup and add 2 cl (approximately 1 fluid ounce) Grenadine syrup to the remaining half. Pour this into an ice-cold glass and top with the rest of the mixture.
• Serve with a sprinkling of fresh mint leaves, a slice of lime and a straw (optional).

FROZEN ORANGE POPS

Steps:

• Bring the orange juice and honey to a simmer in a wide saucepan, whisking occasionally, over medium-high heat. Cook until reduced to 2 cups, about 25 minutes. Let cool completely.
• Add the orange-honey mixture, yogurt, orange zest, vanilla and a pinch of salt to a blender and puree until smooth. Pour into the pop molds. Freeze until set, at least 4 hours or overnight.
• To serve, take a pop from the freezer, run it under warm water and unmold.

ORANGE DRINK

Steps:

• Empty frozen orange juice into a large pitcher. VERY SLOWLY pour in the ginger ale. It is extremely important that you pour slowly because the soda will foam up and lose its carbonation if poured fast. Gently stir until all of orange juice is melted. Toss in all but 4 of the orange slices.
• Cut reserved orange slices in half. Pour beverage into 8 glasses and garnish with half slice of orange and a cherry.

FROZEN ORANGES

Steps:

• Remove a"lid" from the top of each orange (retain the lid).
• Carefully remove all the pulp from the orange-I use a dessertspoon to do this.
• Allow the ice-cream to soften for a minute or two, then working quickly, stir through the liqueur and concentrate and fill the orange shells with this mix.
• Replace the lids.
• Freeze for at least 6 hours but preferably overnight.
• Remove from the freezer about 10 minutes before serving so they go frosty.
• These look good with a sprig of orange or lemon leaves poked into the top before serving*note-don't be tempted to use the pulp in place of the concentrate, the flavour is all wrong.
• Use the pulp for juicing or something.

ORANGE JULIUS-STYLE DRINK

Steps:

• Combine all ingredients except crushed ice in blender.
• Blend for about 1-2 minutes, adding crushed ice until smooth.
