6 (12 fluid ounce) cans or bottles beer
1 (12 fluid ounce) can frozen limeade concentrate (such as Minute Maid®)
12 fluid ounces tequila
6 cups ice cubes

Steps:

  • Pour beers into a large pitcher. Add limeade; stir to combine. Use limeade can to measure out tequila; pour into pitcher and stir to combine. Serve over ice.

1 cup tequila
1/4 cup orange-flavored liqueur
2 bottles (12 oz each) light-colored beer
Crushed ice
8 lime slices

Steps:

  • In pitcher, mix limeade concentrate, tequila and liqueur until well blended. Pour beer into pitcher; stir.
  • Fill 8 lowball or margarita glasses with crushed ice. Pour beer mixture over ice. Garnish each with lime slice.

Who would believe that beer would be the perfect solution to eradicating fluorescent green margaritas? Well, it is! Best to use not-so-micro brews to avoid an overpowering beer flavor. Use the limeade can to measure the ingredients, and adjust with extra water if the mixture seems too sweet. Straining the pulp is always a good idea, unless, of course, you like pulp!

  • Pour limeade, tequila, water, and beer into a large pitcher. Stir until well-blended, and limeade has melted. Add plenty of ice, and garnish with lime wedges. Adjust with additional water, if needed.

2 tablespoons kosher salt
2 tablespoons sugar
Zest of 1 lime plus juice of 2 limes, reserving the lime halves for rimming the glasses
4 ounces tequila, such as Santo
1 ounce orange liqueur
Splash agave nectar
One 12-ounce can Mexican beer

Steps:

  • Mix together the salt, sugar and lime zest in a shallow dish. Rub the rims of your margarita glasses with a lime half and dip into the salt mixture. Fill the glasses with ice and set aside.
  • Add ice to a large cocktail shaker and add the lime juice. Add the tequila, orange liqueur and agave nectar and shake vigorously until thoroughly chilled. Pour into the ice-filled margarita glasses. Top each glass off with beer.
