Steps:
- Place the lemon juice, sugar, salt, mustard, onion powder and pepper in a blender; cover and pulse until blended. While processing, gradually add oil in a steady stream. Stir in basil. , In a large bowl, combine the fruit. Drizzle with dressing and toss to coat. Refrigerate until serving.

Steps:
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, 1/2 cup water, honey and vanilla. Bring to a boil, stir to dissolve sugar; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered for 5 minutes.
- Combine the cornstarch and 1 tablespoon cold water; add to saucepan. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbling. Cook and stir for 2 additional minutes. Cool Slightly.
- Add orange juice and liquid vanilla.
- Place fruit and basil in large bowl; pour syrup mixture over fruit, stirring gently. Cover and let stand about 1 hour or until cooled to room temperature or chill several hours, stirring once or twice.
- If using bananas, slice and add just before serving.
- Serve fruit over a 1/2 cup sherbet.
- Cooking time does not include chilling time.

- Combine the water and the sugar in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil and simmer just long enough for the sugar to dissolve. Remove from heat. Place the basil leaves in a small glass bowl or measuring cup. Pour the hot syrup over them and let sit on the counter until cool.
- Place the fruit in a large bowl and drizzle with the basil syrup, pressing the leaves to remove as much of the syrup as possible. (Discard the wilted basil leaves.) Add the fresh basil leaves and stir to distribute. Squeeze a lime over the fruit and stir again. Chill until ready to serve. Enjoy!
