Time 45m

Yield 4

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 clove garlic, chopped
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets
½ cup butter
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons lemon juice
¼ cup white wine
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 ½ teaspoons fines herbs
¼ cup chopped fresh dill

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven's broiler and set the oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source. Line a jelly roll pan with aluminum foil, and spray with nonstick spray.
  • Place garlic and olive oil in a small microwave safe bowl and cook on High for 1 1/2 minutes. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat, and stir in the garlic mixture. Remove from heat; stir in the Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, white wine, black pepper, garlic salt, and fines herbs.
  • Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the prepared pan. Spoon about 1/3 of the butter sauce over the fillets, and sprinkle evenly with the fresh dill.
  • Broil in the preheated oven for 3 minutes. Turn salmon fillets so that the side of the fillet faces up, and baste fillets with about 1/3 of the butter sauce; broil for 3 minutes. Turn the fillets to place the opposite side facing up; spoon on the remaining butter sauce; broil until the fish flakes easily with a fork, about 3 additional minutes.

FRESH BROILED SALMON WITH SAUCY CHEESE TORTELLINI

Fresh Broiled Salmon With Saucy Cheese Tortellini image

The cooking time are approximate depending on the thickness of the fish. We really loved this and hope you do too! Note: Any fresh salmon can be used for this. Just try to buy high quality salmon as it tastes so much better. Check to make sure you have enough wine in the broiler pan. You will need it for the sauce.

Yield 4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 15

1 fresh salmon fillet, 2 . 25 lbs, skin on, I used Copper River Salmon
1/2 cup mayonnaise (Best Foods)
1/2 cup green onion, thinly sliced
1 teaspoon prepared mustard
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 garlic cloves, crushed
liquid smoke, to taste
1 (9 ounce) package refrigerated cheese tortellini, cooked
3/4 cup creme fraiche
1/4 cup fresh mozzarella cheese
1 teaspoon dill
2 lemons
dry white wine
parsley, for garnish

Steps:

  • Stir dill into creme fraiche. Cut mozzarella into small pieces and add to creme fraiche and dill. Add the zest from one of the lemons. Pour wine into broiler pan until it's 1/8th inch deep. Spray broiler rack with cooking spray. Place salmon, skin side down on broiler rack. Broil for 10 minutes about 7 inches from heat source.
  • Meanwhile, mix mayonnaise, green onions, mustard, garlic, and liquid smoke together in small bowl. After the salmon has cooked for 10 minutes, spread mayonnaise mixture evenly over top of salmon. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Broil until mayonnaise mixture is golden brown and salmon is cooked through, about 6 minutes. If it starts browning too fast, lay foil on top. Time is approximate depending on thickness of fish. Do not overcook. Remove fish to warm plate and keep warm. Pour wine from broiling pan into skillet. Cook on high heat until reduced in half. Take off heat. Whisk creme fraiche mixture into reduced wine. Add any fish juices on plate to mixture and whisk inches Stir constantly until well mixed over low heat. Remove 1/2 cup of sauce and reserve. Toss cooked tortellini in rest of sauce and place on 4 warmed plates. Remove skin from salmon, cut into 4 pieces and place on top of tortellini. Drizzle with reserved sauce. Garnish with parsley and lemon slices.

A dish with a helpful shortcut, and easy too! Serve this yummy dish with a fresh green salad and some crunchy bread to scoop up the "homemade" sauce. BROILED SALMON WITH LEMON AND DILL

Broiled Salmon with Lemon and Dill image

I love salmon. Oftentimes it's so smothered in things. I wanted to make a broiled recipe that let the salmon shine on its own.

Provided by Sloppy

Categories     Main Dish Recipes     Seafood Main Dish Recipes     Salmon     Broiled Salmon Recipes

Time 30m

Yield 4

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 pounds salmon, skinned and deboned
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 lemon
½ tablespoon chopped fresh dill, or more to taste
½ tablespoon garlic powder, or more to taste
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Set an oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source and preheat the oven's broiler.
  • Rub salmon down in olive oil. Cut your lemon in half and set 1 half off to the side. Cut the other half into 1/4-inch thick slices. Lay them on a broiler pan and lay the salmon on top of them. You just need enough to cover the bottom of the salmon so it's not touching the pan. Sprinkle with dill, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Lightly squeeze the remainder of the lemon over the whole salmon; not too much, you don't want your seasoning to run off.
  • Cook in the center of the preheated oven on a low broil until easily flaked with a fork but still juicy, 15 to 20 minutes.
