CHOCOLATE APPLESAUCE BREAD
I got this from another recipe site, so I don't know the original source. It is nice and moist and has a good chocolately flavor. The original recipe said to put it in 2 1-lb. loaf pans, but they were so full that the middle was still gooey when the outside was done, so I'm suggesting 3 pans and a slightly shorter baking time.

FREAKIN' INSANE CHOCOLATE-CHIP APPLESAUCE QUICK BREAD
This outrageous breakfast bread was introduced to Crystal when she was at her dear friend Amy's home. It was one of those scenarios where you have room for only one piece, yet end up taking the loaf home! Amy told Crystal that her mom and her mom's friend Janie made this recipe often when Amy was growing up. When they had passed, Amy inherited her mom's recipe book, which included several copies of this recipe, in both her mom's and Janie's handwritings. Amy has taken to making it every holiday for her family and friends. Baking and sharing this delicious bread with the rest of the family is the ultimate way to honor their memories and their special friendship.

With applesauce and spices, this bread is moist, delicious and great in lunch boxes. I also like it spread with cream cheese or peanut butter.

I've searched for a good chocolate bread recipe for a long time and finally was given this one by a friend. I hope you like it as much as I do. I think the applesauce is the key ingredient.

CHOCOLATE CHIP APPLESAUCE CAKE
At last, an easy-to-make "scratch" cake recipe that does not need frosting! Recipe has been modified from one given to me by a friend years ago... 6/30/07 NOTE: This is not a standard chocolate cake recipe nor a spice cake recipe. The cocoa and chocolate chips help add to the "dark chocolaty" flavor and appearance but the applesauce and spices give it a unique flavor addition, producing a dark, moist cake with a different flavor with the added bonus of being a no-frost cake.
