A "secret" family recipe for decades, I just love how simple, quick and of course delicious this fudge recipe is! It really only does take a matter of minutes to prepare and is the smoothest, richest fudge you'll find.

Yield 2 pounds, 20-30 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

2/3 cup evaporated milk
1 2/3 cups sugar
20 marshmallows, sliced
1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup nuts, chopped (optional)

Steps:

  • Combine milk & sugar in sauce pan.
  • Heat to boiling on low flame.
  • Cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Remove pan from heat.
  • Add marshmallows, chips, vanilla and optional nuts.
  • Stir fudge with wooden spoon until all are melted (about 1 minute).
  • Pour into greased 8" square pan.
  • Cool until set.
  • Cut and serve!

2/3 cup Carnation Evaporated Milk
1 2/3 cups white sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups miniature marshmallows
1 1/2 cups chocolate or 1 1/2 cups butterscotch chips
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Steps:

  • Mix milk, sugar and salt in a heavy saucepan, over med-high heat.
  • Heat to boiling.
  • Cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Remove from heat, and add other ingredients.
  • Stir until marshmallows are all melted.
  • Pour into buttered 9" square pan.
  • Cool and cut into squares.

1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
1 cup packed brown sugar
4 tablespoons milk
2 1/4 cups icing sugar
3 tablespoons cocoa
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 teaspoons maple extract
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
2 tablespoons peanut butter

Steps:

  • MIX TOGETHER 1/2 CUP BUTTER OR MARGARINE 1 CUP BROWN SUGAR AND 4 TBSP MILK BRING TO A BOIL OVER MED HEAT IN POT ON STOVE.
  • REMOVE POT FROM STOVE ADD 2 1/4 CUPS ICING SUGAR THEN DEPENDING ON FLAVOUR ADD FLAVOURING FROM LIST OF INGREDIENTS.
  • STIR WELL POUR INTO A GREASED 8X8 PAN REFRIGERATE.
