Steps:
- In a large bowl, whisk together 1 1/2 cups flour, the sugar, salt, and yeast. Combine the milk, water, and butter in a saucepan and heat until very warm. The butter doesn't need to melt.
- Gradually add the liquid to the dry ingredients and mix at medium speed for 2 minutes; the mixture will be quite wet. Add another 1/2 cup flour and beat at high speed for 2 minutes. The mixture will begin to get thicker.
- Stir in enough of the remaining flour so that you have a soft dough. Knead on a lightly floured board for 5 minutes.
- Put back into the mixing bowl after you've scraped it out, cover and let rise for 15 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Turn the dough out onto your board and cut it into 24 equal pieces; each piece should weigh about 1 1/2 ounces. Shape into rolls by rolling them on the board with your cupped fingers.
- Place the rolls into two greased 9 inch round cake pans. Let rise for 20 minutes, until they look puffy. For snowflake rolls, sprinkle the tops with flour just before baking.
- Bake 15 to 18 minutes. Remove from the oven and cool slightly. Remove from pan.

MY FAVORITE SNOWFLAKE ROLLS
These are my favorite rolls. A snow flake roll is a light and airy roll that has a slight chew to it. Melt some butter in the middle of these warm. They are so good. My daughter and I could consume 3-4 at a meal. Quick to make for a yeast roll. I used to buy these at a local bakery until I discovered how easy they were to make....

- Combine cake mix, cake flour, melted butter, eggs, evaporated milk, and food coloring in a large bowl. Mix with an electric mixer on slow speed until fully combined. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, but best if overnight. The longer the dough sits, the easier it is to roll out and cut.
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a cookie sheet.
- Roll dough on a lightly floured piece of parchment paper to a thickness of 1/8 or 1/16 inch. Cut cookies with a snowflake-shaped cookie cutter and place on the prepared cookie sheet. Dust off any flour from the top of the cookies with a brush or paper towel.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 6 to 7 minutes. Cool on the baking sheet for 1 minute before removing to a wire rack to cool completely, 25 to 30 minutes more.
- Decorate fully cooled cookies as desired with icing.

EASY QUICK BUNS
These are super easy, super quick buns. I get requests to take them everywhere we go. They are great for those last minute dinner guests, or a nice surprise for breakfast. They freeze well, and make excellent toast. This recipe is a combo of my grandmothers recipe and a few others, all tweaked to make a fast, easy, soft, fluffy bun.
