These easy Mountain Dew Apple Dumplings are out of this world delicious! No one will ever suspect that the secret ingredient is a can of soda.

2 large Granny Smith apples
2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent rolls
1 cup plus 2 Tbsp unsalted butter, divided
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp cinnamon
1 cup Mountain Dew

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Butter 13x9-inch baking dish with 2 Tbsp butter. Set aside.
  • Peel and core granny smith apples. Cut each apple into 8 slices. Roll one apple slice in one crescent roll. Place in the buttered baking dish.
  • In a small saucepan, melt 1 cup butter with sugar. Barely stirring, remove from heat when butter is melted. Remove from heat and add vanilla extract.
  • Pour over crescent rolls. Then pour the 1 cup of Mountain Dew around the edges of the pan ONLY. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the rolls are completely cooked.
  • Serve warm with ice cream (be sure so spoon some of the sauce from the pan over the top)!

The whole family loves this warm comforting dessert. It warms the whole house with the smells of fall.

2 can(s) crescent rolls
4 - apples
2 stick(s) real butter
1 1/2 cup(s) brown sugar
1 teaspoon(s) cinnamon
12 ounce(s) mountain dew

Steps:

  • Peel and core apples. Dice apples into small squares and set aside.
  • Melt butter in bowl. Stir brown sugar and cinnamon into melted butter.
  • Grease 9x13 pan. Separate crescent rolls either into 16 triangles or you can leave 2 triangles together to make larger dumplings.
  • Stretch out crescent roll slightly. Place about 6 pieces of apple into the middle of crescent and drizzle the apples with butter mix. Pull the 3 corners and the sides of the crescent up and press together to close dumpling.
  • Once done forming all the dumplings, sprinkle the remaining apples over the dumplings.
  • Pour the Mountain Dew around dumplings
  • Pour remaining butter mix over dumplings.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes. And ENJOY!!!

1 large granny smith apple, chopped in small pieces
2 (8 count) packages crescent rolls
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup butter (best to use real butter)
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 (12 ounce) can Mountain Dew soda

Steps:

  • Place sugar, cinnamon, and butter in sauce pan.
  • Heat until butter is melted and sugar is dissolved.
  • Separate crescent rolls.
  • Put approximately 2 teaspoons of apples close to the wide end of each triangle.
  • Roll dough to form a crescent.
  • Place the rolls in a greased 9" x 13" pan.
  • Pour cinnamon/butter mixture over the crescent rolls.
  • Pour Mountain Dew over last.
  • Bake in 350 degree oven for approximately 35 minutes.
  • Cool for 10-15 minutes.
  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.

¾ cup butter
1 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle caffeinated citrus-flavored soda (such as Mountain Dew®)
4 small Granny Smith apple, peeled, cored, and quartered
2 (8 ounce) packages refrigerated crescent roll dough

Steps:

  • Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  • Heat the butter, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla in a saucepan over medium heat until the sugar dissolves, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat; set aside. Divide the crescent roll dough into 16 triangles. Roll 1 slice of apple with the dough and arrange on the prepared pan. Pour the butter mixture over the wrapped apples, then pour the citrus-flavored soda on top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, 40 to 45 minutes.
