EASY CHICKEN ALA KING OAMC FREEZER READY
An easy, good-enough-for-company, chicken dish that can be frozen. Add elegance by serving on puff pastry shells. This recipe can easily be doubled or tripled.

Steps:
- Melt butter in large skillet over medium heat. Sautee mushrooms and green pepper until peppers are crisp tender. Remove from heat.
- Add flour and pepper - return to heat and simmer on low until bubbly, stirring constantly.
- Add boullion, milk and water. Increase heat slightly and bring to a slow boil. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.
- Stir in chicken and pimento. Heat through.
- At this point, you can serve the ala King over baked puff pastry shells, toast, mashed potatoes, or rice.
- OR allow to cool, then freeze for up to 1 month. To prepare when frozen, allow to thaw in refrigerator overnight, then heat thoroughly in microwave or stovetop. Enjoy!

CHICKEN A LA KING- FREEZER FRIENDLY
This is very easy and tasty- pretty, too. (Despite my awful picture.) Can be served same day or frozen in larger quantities for OAMC. Steps:
- In a large skillet over med-high heat, cook mushrooms and green pepper in butter until peppers are crisp-tender; Remove from heat.
- Lightly spoon flour into a measuring cup, level off, and put into skillet.
- Stir in flour and pepper. Return to low heat until mixture is smooth and bubbly, stirring constantly.
- Stir in bouillon granules, milk, and water. Bring to a boil and stir 1 minute.
- Stir in chicken pieces and pimento. Cook until thoroughly heated.
- Freeze in a quart-sized freezer bag or serve immediately over puff pastry shells, biscuits, rolls, or toast.

- Heat the olive oil in a saucepan.
- Add the onions and red pepper and saute gently until soft. (About 5 minutes)
- Add the mushrooms and cook for a further 5 minutes, or until the mushrooms have softened.
- Add the butter and let it melt, then stir in the cornflour.
- Pour in the milk and bring to the boil. Then turn down the heat and stir until the mixture thickens.
- Add the peas and chicken and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Stir in the cream and allow to heat through.
- Season with salt and pepper (optional)
- Serve on a bed of rice with a leafy green salad on the side

Steps:
- Cut chicken into bite size pieces.
- Place in slow cooker.
- Using a medium bowl, stir soup, flour and pepper until blended.
- Pour over chicken but DO NOT STIR.
- Cover and cook on Medium for 2 and 1/2 hours or on LOW for 5 to 5 and 1/2 hours or until chicken is very tender.
- Stir in peas and onions, pimiento, paprika celery salt, if desired and cayenne pepper.
- Cover and cook for 20 to 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
- Serve over rice or in patty shells.
- Serve with fresh fruit.

- Cut up chicken breasts into bite sized pieces. Mix flour and cream of chicken soup together along with the pepper. Cook on high for 2.5 hours or low for 5 hours. Add 2 cans of peas and paprika. Stir well. Add in flour or instant mashed potatoes to thicken. (We used the potatoes with great results.) Let cook for another 30 minutes. Enjoy! We topped ours with cheese....just because we can.
- If chicken is already thawed when you bought it, cut it into bite sized pieces. If it's not, you can wait and cut it up with scissors in the slow cooker after it's cooked. Mix flour, pepper and cream soup together. Place chicken and soup mixture into gallon size freezer safe bag. Label, Lay Flat & Freeze. On cooking day, follow instructions in recipe above.
