BAKED GARLIC LEMON TILAPIA



Baked Garlic Lemon Tilapia image

Classic sauce of butter, lemon and fresh parsley goes perfect with any fish. A Weight Watcher's recipe.

36 ounces tilapia fillets (6 6-ounce filets)
4 garlic cloves, crushed
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons lemon juice, fresh
4 teaspoons parsley, fresh
salt and pepper
cooking spray

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400°.
  • Melt butter on a low flame in a small sauce pan. Add garlic and saute on low for about 1 minute. Add the lemon juice and shut off flame.
  • Spray the bottom of a baking dish lightly with cooking spray. Place the fish on top and season with salt and pepper. Pour the lemon butter mixture on the fish and top with fresh parsley. Bake at 400° until cooked, about 15 minutes.

4 each tilapia fillets
3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon butter, melted
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
1 dash pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Spray a baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Rinse tilapia fillets under cool water, and pat dry with paper towels.
  • Place fillets in baking dish. Pour lemon juice over fillets, then drizzle butter on top. Sprinkle with garlic, parsley, and pepper.
  • Bake in preheated oven until the fish is white and flakes when pulled apart with a fork, about 30 minutes.

2 tablespoons melted butter
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Optional, for serving: lemon wedges

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil (for easy clean up) and spray with cooking spray.
  • Place fish on the prepared baking sheet. Pat dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, lemon juice, garlic powder and salt. Brush butter mixture onto the fillets.
  • Bake, uncovered, for 10-15 minutes (or until the fish flakes easily with a fork). For a crispier exterior, place the fish under the broiler for the final 2-3 minutes of baking. Garnish with parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
