I used Coffee Mate vanilla-flavor powdered creamer and Nestle Nesquick, I am not certain if they sell this in the States, if not use similar products, also plain powdered cream can be used in place of vanilla, but the vanilla is better lol! Here's what to do to give as a gift; divide the mixture between two 1-quart glass jars, seal and decorate as desired, attach a tag with 1 cinnamon stick (if desired for stirring) with the following instruction...For hot cocoa, dissolve 1/3-cup mix in 1 cup (or more) boiling water, stir with cinnamon stick and enjoy!

6 1/2 cups powdered milk
1 (5 ounce) package chocolate pudding mix (use regular not instant)
1 cup powdered instant chocolate drink mix (such as Nestle Nesquick)
1/2 cup french vanilla non-dairy coffee creamer
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
1/2 cup sifted unsweetened cocoa powder
2 -4 cinnamon sticks (optional)

Steps:

In a large bowl combine all ingredients together; mix very well to combine.
Place into clean glass jars; seal tightly.
Decorate as desired.
The mixture will keep well tightly sealed for up to 3 months.

This is a recipe to put into a Quart size jar for a gift. I love to make extra for myself to keep throughout the winter. I got the recipe from my aunt, who found it in the newspaper clipping in 1987, it has been changed a little over the years for the kids.

Ingredients

2/3 cup powdered coffee creamer
2/3 cup powdered sugar
2/3 cup chocolate-flavor Nestle Nesquik powder
2/3 cup powdered milk
2/3 cup milk chocolate chips (must be MILK chocolate)
1 1/3 cups marshmallows, in small ziploc

Steps:

FOR THE JAR:.
Place the ingredients in the jar in this order:.
Coffee creamer on bottom.
Powdered sugar.
Flavored drink mix.
Dry milk.
Chocolate chips go on top of milk.
Place ziploc of marshmallows on top.
Directions for Cocoa Mix.
**Double Chocolate Cocoa**.
Set marshmallows aside.
Empty mix into a large mixing bowl.
Blend mix very well with a whisk.
Place mix back into jar.
Place 1 1/2- 2TB of mix into a cup. Add 1 cup of boiling water. Stir until mixture is completely dissolved.
Top with marshmallows.

6 cups nonfat dry milk powder
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup baking cocoa
2 tablespoons baking cocoa
1 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows (optional)

Steps:

COMBINE dry milk, sugar, cocoa and marshmallows in large bowl.
Pour into 2-quart jar or tall container.
Seal with lid and decorate with fabric and ribbon.
RECIPE TO ATTACH:
Measure 1/2 cup cocoa mix into mug. Stir in 1 cup hot water or milk.

1 cup powdered chocolate drink mix
½ cup powdered non-dairy creamer

1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
¾ cup dark brown sugar
½ cup white sugar
¼ cup cocoa
½ cup chopped pecans
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Steps:

Combine all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In a 1 quart wide mouth canning jar, layer dark brown sugar, white sugar, cocoa, chopped pecans, and chocolate chips. Pack everything down firmly before you add flour mixture, it will be a snug fit.
Attach a tag with the following instructions: Chocolate Cookie Mix in a Jar: 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) 2. Empty cookie mix into large bowl. Thoroughly blend mixture with hands. Mix in 3/4 cup softened butter or margarine, 1 egg, slightly beaten, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Shape into walnut size balls, and place 2 inches apart on a parchment lined baking sheet. 3. Bake for 11 to 13 minutes. Cool 5 minutes on baking sheet, then move to wire racks.
