Steps:
- Line a rimmed baking sheet with waxed paper; set aside. Break semisweet chocolate into small pieces; place in a microwave-safe dish. Microwave on high in 30-second increments, stirring after each, until chocolate is just melted, about 1 minute. Remove; stir until smooth.
- One at a time, roll one end of pretzel rods into melted chocolate, and, using a spoon, coat each 3/4 of the way up.
- Place pretzels on prepared baking sheet. Refrigerate until set, about 15 minutes.

Steps:
- Gather the ingredients.
- Unfold a piece of newspaper and place it on a table or counter. Top the newspaper with parchment or wax paper.
- Place white chocolate in a microwavable container. Microwave the mixture on high for 1 minute. Stir and, if needed, continue to cook for 15 seconds at a time until the chips are melted. You might also want to put the chocolate in a bowl over a pot of near-boiling water (double-boiler style) being careful not to let the water touch the bottom of the bowl.
- Working quickly, use kitchen tongs to dip one pretzel at a time into the melted chocolate. Cover the pretzels completely with chocolate, or cover only half of the pretzel for a distinctive look (that also lets people know what's under the chocolate and is ideal for party presentations).
- Place the dipped pretzels on the prepared work surface. The chocolate will cool and dry onto the pretzels quickly. Dip as many pretzels as you have chocolate. Allow all of the chocolate-covered pretzels to dry (this typically takes less than an hour) before storing in a cool, dry place in an airtight covered container with parchment paper or wax paper between each layer of pretzels.

Steps:
- Prepare a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Make sure the baking sheet is small enough to fit into your freezer. Optional - Place the sheet into your freezer before starting and this can help the chocolate harden quicker.
- In a microwave safe tall cup (coffee mugs work well), add candy chips and oil. Microwave for 30 seconds on high. Stir and microwave for another 30 seconds. Stir and microwave for another 20 seconds. This helps make sure it's nicely melted and will heat up the cup to help keep the chocolate chips viscous.
- Take a pretzel rod and dip it into the melted candy, leaving about 2" to 3" of the pretzel rod uncovered (see video below). Let the excess drip off and twirl it around in a circle or back and worth in the cup. This helps remove some of the coating. Place on the prepared baking sheet. If you do not remove enough excess melted chocolate, you will get pooling around the pretzel rod. See the pretzel rod on the right in the next image.
- If using sprinkles, I like to do the same type in small batches. Continue step 3 until you have about 5-6 pretzel rods. Add sprinkles over top of the pretzel rods before it starts to harden. Continue dipping and decorating pretzels until you have the desired amount of decorated pretzels. Place in the freezer for 2 - 3 minutes to harden.
- If leaving plain, do step 3 until all the pretzels are dipped and place in the freezer for 2-3 minutes to harden.
- When the candy dip is low, it will be difficult to continue to dip the pretzel rods. I suggest using a chopstick to drizzle the remaining dip over some pretzel rods or regular pretzels (old tyme pretzels shown).
- Place pretzel rods in gift bags or a holiday container if giving as gifts. Or store in an airtight container in fridge for up to 3 weeks or the freezer for up to a year. Of course, they'll be gobbled up way before that.

Steps:
- Melt each of the chocolates along with 1 Tablespoon of shortening in a microwave safe bowl (for the twists) or tall glass (for the rods), microwaving and stirring in 30 second intervals until smooth.
- Place a pretzel in the bowl of melted chocolate, flipping it over to coat both sides.
- Tap the fork on the side of the bowl to encourage any excess chocolate to drip off.
- If there is chocolate in the holes, use another skewer or toothpick to poke through the hole.
- Slip the pretzel off of the fork (or chopstick) and onto a parchment lined baking sheet.
- Sprinkle with toppings immediately or allow to dry before decorating with additional chocolate.
- Dip the end of the rod into the jar of chocolate and spin, then gently scrape it off the side to get rid of excess chocolate.
- Place on a parchment lined baking sheet and sprinkle or allow to dry before adding any additional chocolate.
- If you'd like to make smaller rods, simply break them in half and dip the broken end in the chocolate.

- Once the chocolate is melted, dip a pretzel rod into it to coat about ½ to ¾ of the pretzel in chocolate.
- Lay the pretzel on the parchment paper and use your fingers to immediately sprinkle the holiday sprinkles on all sides of the pretzels. Keep on the parchment paper to harden for about 10 minutes.

Steps:
- Chop BAKER'S Premium White Chocolate into small pieces and place in a microwave-safe glass or bowl. Melt it in the microwave for 1-2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds. Another option is to use a double boiler and then pour the melted chocolate into a bowl after it is melted.
- Once the chocolate is melted, dip the pretzel rods down into it and use a spoon or spatula to cover all but the lower 1-2 inches.
- Let the dipped pretzels sit on wax paper or a silpat mat (on the counter or in the refrigerator) for a few minutes to cool/harden.
- Decorate as desired. For example, add/roll in sprinkles or rewarm the remaining chocolate to soften it back up and pour into a decorator bag or plastic baggie. Attach decorator tip or snip off one corner of the baggie and pipe white chocolate back and forth and add in chocolate chips as eyes to look like a mummy.
- Let cool for 1-2 hours, or until chocolate is hard. Store in an air-tight container at room temperature.

DIPPED PRETZELS WHITE OR CHOCOLATE
I make these every year for Christmas gifts. They are easy and everyone loves them. I think it's that salty-sweet thing. I use the miniature pretzels but any size or shape of pretzel can be dipped, even pretzel rods. One year I found different shaped pretzels with a Christmas theme.

Steps:
- 1. Prepare work surface or sheet pans by laying out or lining with wax paper, parchment paper or foil. This is where you will be placing the dipped pretzels for drying. Place pretzels in large bowl for easy access.
- 2. In a double boiler over med low heat place water in bottom pan. Make sure the water level does not touch the bottom of the top pan. Do not let the water boil, and make sure no water or steam gets into the top pan. In top pan place vanilla candy coating or chips and wax (the wax helps thin the candy coating so you may want to add a little more than indicated in recipe.) Stir mixture often until mixture is smooth and wax in incorporated. Remove top pan from heat. (I like to place pan on a dishtowel to sop up moisture on bottom of pan, plus it helps hold in some of the heat.)
- 3. Grab a handful of pretzels and place into the melted candy mixture. With a *fork or candy dipping tool make sure pretzels are coated throughly. Remove one at a time, drain off excess or dripping candy mixture and place on prepared surface for drying. Repeat until you have desired amount of dipped pretzels. Leave until completely dry. There may still be some excess dried candy mixture around edges of pretzels. It can be broken off carefully so as not to chip it off the whole pretzel. If you like double dipped pretzels, repeat process or take the melted mixture and drizzle over the dipped pretzels or can be done using melted chocolate chips or candy coating. Store in a container with tight fitting lid with wax paper or parchment between layers. Keep in a cool place, can be stored in fridge or be frozen. When removing from fridge or freezer, place on counter top. Do not remove lid or packageing until candy has reached room temperature. Place several pretzels in candy cups for gift giving boxes or place desired amount in cellophane bags tied with ribbon for baskets. NOTE: * When I first started making candy I used a wire coat hanger bent like a paperclip for a handle and a hook on the other end for hooking the pretzles out of the candy mixture.

- Melt the white chocolate melting wafers, candy coating, or almond bark in the microwave, according to package instructions. If you are going to use white chocolate chips, place the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds at 50% power. Stir the chips. Microwave for 30 seconds at 100% power. Stir until chocolate is melted and smooth. It might take a little more or less time, depending on your microwave. The key is to not over cook the chocolate.

- Place the dipped pretzels on the parchment paper or wax paper and sprinkle immediately with crushed candy canes. Let the pretzels sit until the chocolate hardens. If your house is warm or if you want to speed up the process, place the baking sheet in the refrigerator.
