I love cheesecake, and I love grasshopper pie. Imagine my sheer joy when I discovered this! Tasty stuff!!!

Number Of Ingredients 12

1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
1/4 cup melted butter
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1 lb cream cheese, at room temperature
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup green creme de menthe
3 tablespoons Creme de Cacao
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
6 eggs, separated
1 cup sour cream
2 ounces semisweet chocolate, grated to garnish the top of the cake

Steps:

  • CHOCOLATE COOKIE CRUMB CRUST: Combine chocolate cookie crumbs with melted butter and cinnamon.
  • Toss and mix well.
  • Press into the bottom and partially up the sides of a 9 inch springform pan.
  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.
  • CHEESE FILLING: Put the cream cheese in a mixing bowl and beat until light and soft.
  • Add 3/4 cup of the sugar and mix well.
  • Stir in the creme de menthe, creme de cacao, flour and salt.
  • Beat until the mixture is blended well.
  • Add the egg yolks and sour cream, and beat until the batter is smooth and blended.
  • In a different bowl, combine the egg whites and 1/4 cup remaining sugar and beat until the whites stand in soft peaks.
  • Fold the beaten whites into the cream-cheese mixture.
  • Pour the batter into the crust and bake for about 1 hour, or until the cake has puffed and trembles just slightly when shaken.
  • A wooden skewer inserted in the cake should come out almost clean, with just a trace of batter or moist crumbs on it.
  • Don't overbake; it will settle and firm somewhat as it cools.
  • Don't worry if the cake cracks as it bakes.
  • Remove and cool.
  • Refrigerate if standing more than 4 hours.
  • Garnish the top with grated chocolate.
  • ENJOY!

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup milk
1/2 cup LAND O LAKES® Butter, softened
4 egg whites
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon salt
6 tablespoons creme de cacao
Filling Ingredients:
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup LAND O LAKES® Butter, softened
1 (1-ounce) square unsweetened chocolate, melted, cooled
1 tablespoon LAND O LAKES® Heavy Whipping Cream
Frosting Ingredients:
2 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup LAND O LAKES® Butter, softened
3 ounces white chocolate, melted, cooled
2 tablespoons LAND O LAKES® Heavy Whipping Cream
White and dark chocolate leaves

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Combine all cake ingredients except creme de cacao in large bowl. Beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, until all ingredients are moistened. Beat at high speed, scraping bowl often, until smooth. Pour into 3 greased and floured (8-inch) round cake pans. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 5 minutes; remove from pans. Cool completely. Combine all filling ingredients in small bowl. Beat at high speed, scraping bowl often, until light and fluffy; set aside. Combine all frosting ingredients in small bowl. Beat at high speed, scraping bowl often, until light and fluffy. To assemble cake place 1 layer on serving plate. Poke top of cake all over with fork; sprinkle with 2 tablespoons creme de cacao. Spread with 1/2 filling. Place second cake layer on top. Poke top of cake all over with fork; sprinkle with 2 tablespoons creme de cacao. Spread with remaining filling. Place third cake layer on top. Poke top of cake all over with fork; sprinkle with 2 tablespoons creme de cacao. Frost entire cake with frosting. If desired, garnish with chocolate leaves.

1 cup vegetable oil
1 (3 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
4 eggs
3/4 cup strong coffee
1/2 cup Creme de Cacao
1/4 cup Kahlua
1 cup confectioners' sugar, sifted
2 tablespoons strong coffee
2 tablespoons Kahlua
2 tablespoons Creme de Cacao

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Combine the cake mix, oil, pudding mix, eggs, coffee, creme de cacao, and Kahlua in a large bowl.
  • Beat for 4 minutes until quite smooth.

2-3 Tbsp creme de cacao
12 oz whipped topping (cool whip)
1/4 c creme de cacao
1 16 oz. chocolate candy bar

Steps:

  • 1. Prepare & bake cake mix with 3 Tbsp. Creme de Cacao using package directions for 9x13 cake pan. Cool. Combine fudge topping and Creme de Cacao (2-3 Tbsp.) in bowl; mix well. Spread on cake. Combine whipped topping and 1/4 cup Creme de Cacao in bowl; mix well. Spread over fudge topping. Cut chocolate candy bar with scraper into curls. Sprinkle on top of cake.
