1 orange (halved and sliced thinly)
6 chicken thighs (skinless, boneless (about 1.5 lbs.))
1 Tbsp flour
1 tsp lemon zest
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1/2 C sweet chili sauce
1 tsp sugar
1 Tbsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp ginger (minced )
4 cloves garlic (minced)
cilantro (for garnish)

Steps:

  • Place orange slices in bottom of slow cooker.
  • Toss the chicken in flour, lemon zest, salt and pepper.
  • Add chicken to slow cooker.
  • Combine chili sauce, soy sauce, sugar, ginger and garlic in a bowl.
  • Pour over chicken
  • Cover and cook on low for about 4 hours.
  • Remove chicken from cooker and cover with foil to keep warm
  • Pour remaining liquid into a sauce pan.
  • Mix together 1/4 C chicken broth or water with 2 tsp cornstarch. Mix until smooth
  • Add into sauce in pan and stir over medium heat until thickened.
  • Spoon sauce over chicken.

2 kg / 4 lb whole chicken (, patted dry (Note 1))
1 tsp dried thyme
1/2 tsp dried parsley
1/2 tsp dried oregano
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
2.5 tbsp olive oil ((or melted butter), plus extra for drizzling)
3 garlic cloves (, minced)
1 large lemon (, all zest + all juice)
1 tbsp cornflour/cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp water
1 extra lemon (, just in case)

Steps:

  • Rub - Mix Rub ingredients. should be fairly thick and sludgy. Adjust with extra oil if too thick.
  • Loosen Skin: Use upside spoon to loosen skin of chicken (see video). Spoon most of the Rub under the skin, leaving about 1 tbsp mostly oil for the skin. Use hands or spoon on skin to spread the paste - doesn't need to be perfect.
  • Stuff used lemon inside the chicken.
  • Put rack inside slow cooker (Note 3), place chicken on top. Spread with remaining sludge, sprinkle with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  • Slow cook 5 hours on low or 3 hours on high, or until juices run clear or internal temperature is 75C / 165F using a meat thermometer. (Note 4 for other cook methods)
  • Brown skin: Remove chicken from slow cooker, drizzle with a bit of extra oil. Grill/broil on medium high for 5 to 10 minutes to brown the skin (~25cm /10" from heat source). Or oven 240C/450F for 10 min.
  • Spoon over pan juices, then serve with Lemon Sauce! (No need to rest chicken)

Steps:

  • Arrange the orange slices on the bottom of the crock pot in one layer.
  • In a large plate or a mixing bowl, combine flour, lemon zest, salt and pepper; toss the chicken in the flour mixture.
  • Add chicken to the crock pot in one single layer.
  • In a small mixing bowl combine sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, lemon juice, and garlic; mix well until thoroughly incorporated.
  • Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken and brush it all around the pieces.
  • Cover the crock pot and cook on low for about 4 to 5 hours, or until chicken is cooked.
  • Uncover and gently stir; let stand 10 minutes.

1-2 Tablespoons olive oil
1 medium shallot-finely diced
1/2 cup chicken broth
4-5 garlic cloves-minced
1/3 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
2 Tablespoons cornstarch dissolved in ¼ cup water
2 Tablespoons salted butter-softened
¼ cup heavy cream
Chopped fresh parsley-for serving

Steps:

  • Pound chicken breasts to ½ inch thickness, season with salt and pepper o taste. Heat Olive oil in a skillet and sear the chicken on both sides until browned (about 5 minutes). Remove the chicken from the skillet and place diced shallots, simmer in the same skillet until soft and gets golden brown color.
  • Grease the bottom of Slow Cooker and arrange seared chicken breast on the bottom.
  • In a measuring cup combine chicken broth, lemon juice, minced garlic, browned shallots and red pepper flakes, then pour the mixture in slow cooker. Cover and cook on high for 2-2.5 hours (depending on size of chicken breasts).
  • Dissolve cornstarch in cold water. Remove the chicken from slow cooker. Place softened butter and cornstarch mixture in slow cooker and stir to dissolve. Stir in heavy cream. Place chicken back in slow cooker, cover and cook on high for 30 minutes, or until the sauce thicken.
  • Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon grated lemon zest
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
1 1-inch piece ginger, peeled and minced
3 cloves garlic, minced
6 ounces thin rice noodles
1 bunch watercress, tough stems removed, coarsely chopped
1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro

Steps:

  • Lay the orange slices in a 6-quart slow cooker. Toss the chicken with the flour, lemon zest, 1/4 teaspoon salt and a few grinds of pepper in a large bowl; add to the slow cooker in a single layer. Combine the chili sauce, soy sauce, ginger and garlic in a bowl; pour over the chicken.

The ingredients below will make one large family meal using a 2.5-3 pound bag of chicken. You can easily divide this into smaller bags for smaller families, singles, or couples.

6-8 chicken breasts or 8-10 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
4-6 cloves of garlic, minced
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
⅓ cup olive oil
1½ lemons, juiced
½ teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • Label your gallon zippy bag with the recipe name and cooking instructions.
  • Fold down top of bag so that it will stand upright while you fill it.
  • Add all ingredients to bag.
  • Press out air and seal.
  • Refrigerate for up to 2 days, or freeze flat. Cooking Instructions
  • Thaw bag in the fridge. I like to place it in a casserole dish to prevent leaking.

1 orange
2 Tbsp soy sauce
1/4 c cornstarch
2 knorr's chicken bullions
3 c water
2 Tbsp curry powder
1 pinch salt
1/4 c sugar
1 egg, well beaten
1 lb chicken tenderloins (frozen)
3 carrots (shredded)
SUGGESTIONS
1 head of cabbage, shredded and pan fried with butter
rice to serve over

  • 1. Squeeze out the juice of lemons and orange into crock pot (fish out the seeds). Add the well beaten egg, soy sauce, curry powder, bullion, sugar, salt, and the cornstarch blended in water and then the frozen chicken.

  • In a large cast iron skillet add 1 tablespoon of butter to melt on medium high heat.

  • Cook on each side for 4-6 minutes.

1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2-3 Tablespoons oil ((or butter))

1 packet Good Seasons Italian dressing mix
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/2 cup chicken broth

Steps:

  • Coat chicken breast pieces lightly in flour, shaking off excess, and place on a plate.
  • Heat 2 -3 tbsp. oil in a large skillet over high heat. Get the pan nice and hot!

2 oz. McCormick Grill Mates Baja Citrus Marinades (two 1 oz. packets)
2 tsp. Cilantro Leaves
1 Lemon (cut into 4 quarters)
1 Lime (cut into 4 quarters)
½ cup Water

Steps:

  • Rinse chicken, remove innards and pat dry with paper towels.
  • Carefully place chicken into 5.5 - 7 qt. Oval Crockpot.
  • Squeeze two Lemon quarters and two Lime quarters into chicken cavity, then place inside.

This slow cooker chicken recipe contains chicken, sherry, lemon, garlic, and oregano. Enjoy this delightful lemon chicken with hot cooked rice or angel hair pasta.

1 broiler-fryer chicken (cut up, or about 3 1/2 pounds of chicken pieces)
1 teaspoon leaf oregano (crumbled dry)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
2 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup dry wine, sherry,
1 ​cup of chicken broth , or water
3 tablespoons lemon juice

Steps:

  • Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper. Sprinkle half of garlic and oregano over the chicken.
  • Melt butter in a sauté pan over medium heat and brown chicken on all sides.
  • Transfer chicken to crock pot. Sprinkle with remaining oregano and garlic. Add wine or sherry to the sauté pan and stir to loosen brown bits; pour into slow cooker.
  • Cover and cook on low (200 F) for 7 to 8 hours. Add lemon juice last hour.
  • Skim fat from juices and pour to a serving bowl; thicken juices, if desired.
