- Spray 4 1/2- to 5-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. Mix pasta sauce, broth and salt in cooker. Add chicken breasts.
- Cover; cook on Low heat setting 3 to 4 hours or until juice of chicken is clear when center of thickest part is cut (at least 165°F). Remove chicken with slotted spoon to cutting board, and shred.
- Meanwhile, stir tortellini into cooker. Cover; cook on Low heat setting 15 minutes.
- Stir tortellini mixture; top with shredded chicken. Top chicken with mozzarella cheese; cover and cook 10 to 15 minutes or until tortellini are tender and cheese is melted.
- Meanwhile, in 10-inch skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add bread crumbs; cook and stir 2 to 5 minutes or until toasted. Sprinkle over mixture in slow cooker. Top with Parmesan cheese and basil.

- Place the chicken breasts into a crock pot in a single layer . I used my favorite Crock Pot Casserole Slow Cooker.
- Pour half the jar of Alfredo sauce over the chicken breasts.
- Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 3-4 hours. Cooking time will depend on the thickness of the chicken pieces. Occasionally check for done-ness.
- When the chicken is cooked through use two forks to shred the chicken pieces.
- Cook the tortellini following the directions on the package. I followed the microwave cooking directions and the tortellini was cooked perfectly in just 5 minutes.
- Add the cooked tortellini, the remaining Alfredo sauce and shredded cheese to the crock pot.
- Mix well and recover the crock pot. Allow the cheese to melt and the tortellini and Alfredo sauce to come to the same temperature.
- Serve with a bit of fresh grated Parmesan cheese if desired.

- I like to practically"puree" the onions and celery in my chopper so my kids don't notice them, but you can always keep them bigger if you like.
- Place everything EXCEPT tortellini in your crock pot and cook on low all day (6-8 hours).
- Either cook tortellini according to package directions and mix in before serving, or place frozen tortellini in crock one hour before serving and turn it up to high setting, but stir gently often.
- Wonderful with green beans and cornbread.
