Steps:
- Immerse cabbage leaves in large kettle of boiling water for about 3 minutes or until limp; drain.
- Combine egg, 1/4 cup of sauce, onion, salt, pepper, beef, and cooked rice.
- Place about 1/4 cup meat mixture in center of each leaf; fold in sides and roll ends over meat.
- Place in slow-cooking pot.
- Combine tomato sauce with brown sugar, lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce.
- Pour over cabbage rolls.
- Cover and cook on low 7-9 hours.

- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper. Cook, stirring, until the beef is no longer pink. Drain off any excess grease and return the pan to the heat. Add the tomato sauce, water, and half of the tomato soup to the skillet. Mix well then stir in the rice. In the crock pot, layer half of the meat mixture then half of the shredded cabbage; repeat the layers. In a bowl, combine the remaining tomato soup with the tomato juice until blended. - 1. Wash the cabbage leaves.
- 2. Boil 4 cups water.
- 3. Turn off the heat. Soak the leaves in water for 5 minutes. Remove, drain and cool.
- 4. Combine the meat, cooked rice, salt, pepper, thyme, nutmeg and cinnamon.
- 5. Place 2 tbsp. of mixture on each leaf and roll up firmly.
- 6. Stack in your slow cooker (crock).

- Cook cabbage in boiling water just until leaves fall off head. Set aside 12 large leaves for rolls; drain well. (Refrigerate remaining cabbage for another use.) Cut out the thick vein from the bottom of each reserved leaf, making a V-shaped cut; set aside., In a large bowl, combine the tomato sauce, rice, green pepper, cracker crumbs, egg and soup mix. - Put cabbage in boiling water. Simmer for 5-10 minutes; cool. (You can do this the day before and refrigerate the cabbage.).
- While cabbage is cooking, in a bowl mix turkey, rice, egg, onion, carrot, salt, and pepper.

- Remove leaves from cabbage (10+).
- Place these in kettle with small amount of boiling water.
- Cover and steam for 5 minutes.
- Mix sausage, beef, salt, egg, rice, and onion together.
- Shape into 10-12 balls and roll each on in a cabbage leaf.
- Place into crock pot, pour on the sauerkraut, tomatoes and water.
- Sprinkle on salt.

- Brown beef or pork, onion, garlic and seasonings over medium heat until no pink remains. Drain.
- Add 1 cup tomato sauce, 1 cup water and ½ can of tomato soup and diced tomatoes to the beef.
- Stir in rice, and mix well until heated through. Remove from heat.
- Chop cabbage into 4 wedges and remove core. Chop into chunks (mine were about ¾"x1 ½").
- Layer ½ of the meat mixture and ½ of the cabbage in the slow cooker. Repeat layers. Place half the meat and then half the cabbage in cooker.
- Combine the remaining tomato soup, remaining tomato sauce and ⅓ cup water. Pour over top of cabbage.
- Cook on low 4-6 hours or just until rice is cooked. Once done, turn slow cooker off, sprinkle cheese on top and let sit 10 minutes to set and melt cheese.

SIMPLE CROCK POT CABBAGE ROLLS

- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, rice, beaten egg, finely chopped onion, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of pepper. Mix until thoroughly blended.
- Remove leaves from the head of cabbage gently, taking care not to tear them. Scald the leaves in boiling salted water just long enough to wilt. - Add the sour cabbage leaves to a large bowl and fill the bowl with cold water. Let the leaves soak in the water for few minutes. This will wash out some of the saltiness from the leaves. Drain the water. If some of the leaves are too big, cut them in half, if making smaller cabbage rolls.
- In a large bowl mix together the ground pork, rice, chopped onion, dill, parsley, salt and pepper. Use your hands to incorporate everything well together. Be careful with the salt, not too much is needed because the sour cabbage is already salty.
