Esta crema de calabaza y zanahoria será el platillo perfecto para comenzar de la manera más elegante cualquier reunión familiar especial.

Ingredients

1 taza de zanahoria picada
1 taza de agua
1/2 de pimienta negra
1/8 de nuez moscada en polvo
1/2 taza más 2 cucharadas de crema agria BREAKSTONE'S Sour Cream o la de KNUDSEN, cantidad dividida

Steps:

Coloca la calabaza y la zanahoria en una olla grande. Agrega el caldo de pollo y el agua; revuelve. Deja que llegue a hervir a fuego medio-alto; cubre. Reduce el fuego a medio-bajo; cocina por 10 minutos o hasta que los vegetales estén tiernos. Deja enfriar un poco.
Coloca la mezcla del caldo en pequeñas cantidades en el recipiente del procesador de alimentos o en el vaso de la licuadora; tapa. Procesa hasta hacer puré. Vuelve a colocar en la olla y mantén tibio a fuego bajo. Repite con el resto de la mezcla del caldo.
Añade la pimienta y la nuez moscada y mezcla. Retira del fuego. En un recipiente pequeño, agrega unas cucharadas de la sopa caliente a 1/2 taza de la crema agria; mezcla bien. Vuelve a colocar esa sopa en la olla; revuelve hasta que esté bien mezclada. Decora cada plato de sopa con una cucharadita de la crema agria restante.
