CRANBERRY GINGER FIZZ



Cranberry Ginger Fizz image

A wintery cocktail combining cranberry juice, ginger, lime and vodka. Can also be served as a cranberry ginger martini.

Number Of Ingredients 10

8 oz vodka ({1 shot})
8 oz cranberry juice ({1 shot})
4 oz Ginger Simple Syrup ({Recipe follows})
4 teaspoon lime juice
club soda ((to taste))
cranberries {for garnish}
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
4 inch ginger ({peeled and sliced into 1/4 inch rounds})
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

Steps:

  • In a small pot, combine all ingredients and bring to a boil. Stir until sugar is completely dissolved. Reduce heat, simmering gently for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool completely.
  • Can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
  • In a shaker filled with ice, combine the vodka, cranberry juice, lime juice and ginger simple syrup. Shake until well combined and chilled. Pour into a glass.
  • Top with club soda and garnish with cranberries.

8 ounces gin
6 ounces cranberry juice
2 ounces orange juice
Ginger beer or ginger ale, for topping
Thyme sprigs, fresh cranberries and orange peel, for garnish

Steps:

  • Combine the gin, cranberry juice and orange juice in a pitcher and stir.
  • When ready to serve, pour the drink over ice. Top with ginger beer or ginger ale to taste. Garnish with thyme, a few cranberries and orange peel.

This bright and refreshing Cranberry Hibiscus Ginger Lime Fizz made with Element Shrub's Cranberry Hibiscus Shrub is a beautiful mocktail that everyone can enjoy. This recipe makes enough for two drinks - double or triple it for a bigger crowd!

4 TBS (Divided) ELEMENT [SHRUB] Cranberry Hibiscus Shrub ((Find them in the link above!))
1 Can Ginger Ale
1 Lime (Sliced )
1 TBS Granulated Sugar
Fresh Cranberries ((To garnish))

Steps:

  • To sugar the rims of the champagne glasses, take two small plates and squeeze some lime juice on one, and place the granulated sugar on the other.
  • Dip the rim of each glass in the lime juice first. Then, immediately dip it into the sugar, so it sticks. Allow to dry for one minute.
  • Add 2 TBS of ELEMENT [SHRUB] Cranberry Hibiscus Shrub into to each glass. Then, top each glass off (almost to the top) with ginger ale.
  • Garnish each drink with a few fresh cranberries and half a slice of lime dipped in the remaining sugar. Make a small cut in the middle of each half slice to help it stay on the glass. Squeeze the lime into the drink before enjoying, and have a happy holiday!

The ginger syrup made in step one may be stored in an airtight container, refrigerated, for up to a week.

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 1/2 pounds fresh ginger, thinly sliced
4 cups water
2 cups sugar
1 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
1 liter seltzer or sparkling water

Steps:

  • Combine ginger and sugar with 4 cups water, or enough to cover, in a medium saucepan. Place over medium-high heat until mixture comes to a boil. Reduce to a simmer; stir until sugar dissolves completely. Continue to simmer about 20 minutes. Remove from heat; let cool to room temperature, at least 2 hours. Strain out the ginger, and discard.
  • Combine the ginger syrup, lime juice, and seltzer in a pitcher. Pour into ice-filled glasses, and serve immediately.

  • Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium-low heat. Add ginger and allspice and cook, stirring occasionally, until butter foams, then browns, 5–8 minutes. Mix in cranberries, muscovado sugar, and ½ cup water. Cover and cook, stirring occasionally, until cranberries burst, 10–12 minutes.
  • Uncover cranberries; stir in hibiscus powder, salt, and 1 Tbsp. rum. Reduce heat to low; cook, stirring occasionally, until glossy and syrupy, 16–20 minutes. (Stir in about ¼ cup water if you like a thinner sauce.) Remove from heat and stir in remaining 1 Tbsp. rum. Let cool slightly.
