HAMBURGER PIE
Hamburger, tomato soup, green beans and mashed potatoes--sounds gross! You will be surprised, this is really good!! This is an old recipe, I remember my mom making it over 30 years ago. There is not much you have to add to make it a meal, maybe some buttered bread.

Steps:
- Cook potatoes until tender, mash with milk, butter, salt and pepper.
- While potatoes are cooking, brown ground beef and onions, drain off fat.
- Drain liquid from green beans.
- Stir tomato soup and green beans in to ground beef.
- Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Turn beef mixture in to a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
- Spoon mashed potatoes over the top.
- Bake, uncovered, in a 350°F oven for 30 minutes.
- (Note: you may want to place a sheet of foil under the casserole dish, this tends to "bubble over").

- Place potatoes into a large pot and cover with salted water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until tender, about 20 minutes; drain. Set aside to cool in a large bowl.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir ground beef and onion in the hot skillet until the beef is crumbly, evenly browned, and no longer pink, about 10 minutes. Stir green beans and tomato soup into the ground beef mixture; transfer to prepared casserole dish.
- Mash the cooled potatoes with milk, egg, garlic, pepper, and salt; spoon in mounds over the ground beef mixture. Sprinkle Cheddar cheese over the potatoes.
- Bake in preheated oven until cheese is melted and edges of dish begin to brown, 25 to 30 minutes.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Peel and quarter potatoes, and introduce into boiling water; cook until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and mash. Set aside.

- Put 1 pie crust on bottom of 9 inch pie pan. Sprinkle onion powder onto crust. In Fry pan saute Diced Onion and Hamburger till Hamburger is cooked and onions are soft. Drain off any grease. - Preheat oven to 375 F.
- Mix the crust ingredients together until dough forms.
- Press dough into greased pie pan.
- Set aside, and do not bake yet.
- Brown ground beef in a pan on medium high, then drain excess grease from meat.
- In large bowl, mix the ground beef in with the rest of the hamburger pie filling ingredients.
- Spoon hamburger filling mixture into pie crust, and spread around.
- In medium bowl, whisk all the pie topping ingredients, except the cheese.

- Preheat oven to 350. Place 1 pie crust in the oven for roughly 10 minutes or until golden brown.
- Heat skillet to medium heat. Add meat and season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. Brown meat until fully cooked.

- In a large cooking pot, brown hamburger and onion together.
- Stir in broth and prepared veggies.
- Cook until veggies are tender.
- Mix cornstarch with water until smooth. Stir mixture into the broth/veggies, cooking for about one minute on the stove to help the mixture thicken.
- Pour contents into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, stir together milk, mayo, and flour.
- Spread mixture over the veggies in the baking dish.
- Bake in a 350° oven for about 45 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.

- Brown the ground beef with the onion sliced to desired size. Cube potatoes and boil. When potatoes are done, mash and season to desire.
- Drain the beef and spread evenly on the bottom of a baking dish. Add the green beans (drain all of the juice) to the top of the beef (as to layer it). Then add the tomato soup to the top of the green beans and spread it evenly over the beans (do not dilute the soup). After the potatoes have been mashed and seasoned to taste. Spread them over the tomato soup and make sure all the top is covered evenly.
- Place in the oven at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes. Let stand for 5 min. and serve as a one meal skillet.

This wonderful recipe came from a friend who was a great cook. We have a hard time leaving any for left overs. Someone will always eat the last piece.

Steps:
- Brown meat with onion and green pepper.
- Drain.
- Add tomato sauce, beans, and seasonings and let simmer.
- Press dinner rolls into a pie plate forming a pie crust.
- Take 1 cup cheese and mix with egg.
- Pour over bottom of the pie crust.
- Drain excess juice from meat mixture.
- Pour meat mixture into pie plate.
- Spread with remaining cheese.
- Sprinkle with paparika.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
