A simple appetizer such as this garlic cheese bread recipe makes enough for a small group. The asiago and jack cheeses makes it taste like Black Angus'.

1 loaf French bread
1/2 cup butter
1 cup shredded jack cheese
1 cup shredded asiago cheese
1 cup mayonnaise
1 bunch chopped green onions
2 cloves pureed garlic

Steps:

  • Split French bread loaf into halves horizontally.
  • Mix butter, cheeses, mayonnaise, green onions and garlic in a bowl, blending well.
  • Spread the cut side of bread with spread.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 7 minutes, then place under broiler about 3 minutes longer.
  • Cut into slices and serve.

The secret ingredient for great cheesy garlic bread? French bread is covered with a gooey, garlicky two-cheese topping to mimic the garlic bread at the Black Angus chain of restaurants.

1 loaf French bread
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup shredded Monterey jack cheese
1 cup shredded Asiago cheese
1 cup mayonnaise
1 bunch green onions, chopped
2 cloves garlic, finely minced

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Slice the French bread in half horizontally. Combine the butter, Monterey Jack cheese, Asiago cheese, mayonnaise, green onion, and garlic in a bowl. Mix well. Spread the cut sides of the bread with the cheese mixture. Place the bread on a baking sheet and place in the oven. Bake at 350 degrees F for 7 minutes. Turn the oven to broil. Cook the garlic cheese bread for 3 minutes or until bubbly and lightly golden brown. Remove the cheese bread from the oven and slice as desired. Serve hot.

1/2 head iceberg lettuce, cut into a wedge
1 cup grape tomatoes, cut into halves
1/2 cup red onion, chopped
6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
1/2 cup blue cheese, crumbled
1/2 cup pecan pieces, toasted
3/4 cup mayonnaise
3/4 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup blue cheese, crumbled
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Steps:

  • Place lettuce wedge on a salad plate. Add grape tomato halves and onion on top of wedge.
  • Sprinkle with crumbled bacon, crumbled blue cheese and toasted pecan pieces.
  • Dressing: Mix ingredients and allow to sit for 30 minutes or more for flavors to meld. Drizzle on top of salad.
  • Enjoy!
