STRAWBERRY TRIFLE
This is a very light dessert recipe from my friend, Ellen. It is so easy to make and is the perfect ending to a heavy meal.

Steps:
- Prepare pudding with milk according to package directions. In a trifle bowl or other glass serving dish, layer half the cake pieces, half the pudding, half the bananas, half the strawberries and half the whipped topping. Repeat layers. Cover and chill in refrigerator 4 hours before serving.

Steps:
- Stir 1 1/2 cups boiling water into 1 pkg (8 serving size) strawberry jello gelatin in large bowl until completely dissolved.
- Stir in 1 1/2 cups cold water.
- Pour into 13x9-inch pan.
- Refrigerate 3 hours or until firm.
- Cut gelatin into cubes.
- Layer gelatin cubes, pound cake, 1/2 tub Cool Whip whipped topping and 2 cups sliced strawberries in a large glass bowl.
- Top with remaining Cool Whip.
- Refrigerate 1 hour or until ready to serve.
- Makes 15 servings.

STRAWBERRY TRIFLE
Rum-infused pound cake cubes are layered with fluffy vanilla pudding, fresh strawberries and toasted almonds for a simple, yet elegant, dessert.

Steps:
- Pour milk into large bowl. Add dry pudding mix, 2 Tbsp. of the rum and the nutmeg. Beat with wire whisk 2 minutes or until well blended. Let stand 5 minutes. Gently stir in whipped topping.
- Cut cake horizontally into 4 layers. Sprinkle cake layers evenly with remaining 2 Tbsp. rum; cut into 1-inch cubes. Place half of the cake cubes in bottom of 2-1/2-quart straight-sided serving bowl; cover with half of the whipped topping mixture. Remove a few of the strawberries and almonds for garnish, if desired. Place remaining strawberries over whipped topping mixture in bowl; sprinkle with remaining almonds. Cover with remaining cake cubes and remaining whipped topping mixture. Top with the reserved strawberries and almonds.
- Refrigerate until ready to serve. Store leftover dessert in refrigerator.

- Mix cream cheese, sweetened condensed milk, and whipped topping together in a bowl until smooth.
- Sprinkle a layer of angel food cake cubes in a large glass bowl; top with a layer of strawberries. Spread a cream cheese mixture layer atop strawberries. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients. Chill in refrigerator for 30 minutes to 1 hour before serving.

Steps:
- Break the angel food cake into small pieces.
- Cook the glaze following package directions, stir in the sliced strawberries, set aside.
- Beat the softened cream cheese with the sugar, then fold in the Cool Whip.
- Place half the cake pieces into the bottom of a large trifle bowl.
- Spoon 1/2 the cream cheese mixture over the cake.
- Place 1/2 the strawberry mixture over the cream cheese, then repeat all three layers.
- Garnish with Cool Whip and whole berries, chill for several hours.
- Note: This can also be made in a 9x13 pan.
